Depressing news for Mike and his addiction to ESPN.
EngadgetHD.com is reporting that while ESPN has deals and contracts in place with DTV, Comcast, etc., for ESPNews HD, nothing will go live until March of 2008.
Despite the bummer news, they do say that they will be instituting an innovative HD sideline graphic that will wrap around the top left and bottom of the screen to show statistics and news.
I don’t know what the heck that will look like, but why can’t it be March yet?
Hum,to co-inside with March Madness,I have Comcast here in the CatBox and we have 28 HD channels and expect 10 more around March or early April.
DTV has a ton of HD now though and more coming soon. I think we’ll have FSNAZ soon just in time for Suns season.
The thing with Fox Sports HD is that it is off-air most of the time unless the programing is HD.How many Suns games are on FSN,we here in the CatBox didn’t get the games last year because of the contract the Suns have with Cox cable and they wanted a fee which Comcast did not want to pay.
Well, FSNAZ HD will just show regular SD programming when nothing is in HD, but it will just be better to have overall. Right now, if there is an HD Suns game, usually you can find it on channel 95, but not always.
[...] prone to surf the high-def stations instead. Back in October I passed on to you guys that it wouldn’t be until March until they finally came out with ESPNews in high definition, and that still [...]
All channels should be HD, I hate watching not HD channels.
