It’s sad when the previews for next week’s Heroes got Jina and I more excited than the actual episode did.
Of course you’ve heard me blab on about how Kristen Bell is joining the cast of Heroes, which is just awesome. She’ll be a great character I’m sure, and this genre is right up her alley. There is an article on Entertainment Weekly about what her character “Elle” is all about…at least, as much as she can say.
Monday’s episode was okay, but the continous need to introduce new characters all the time (although Bell is different
) seems to make things just drag on. It’s like we get a tidbit of five different stories each week, none of them moving fast enough for our satisfaction.
And this year, there isn’t a big “goal” or “save the cheerleader” moment we’re building towards. We really have no clue how all of these things relate. And not having Peter in this episode kind of sucked. Although, with Elle appearing next week, he’s sure to be back.
On the flip side, I don’t know what it is about Journeyman, but I fraking love that show. I’ve heard the same from some friends of mine as well, which makes it sad to hear it’s supposedly in the Top 5 for “likely to be canceled” shows. I hope it somehow makes the cut, because it’s addicting.
We didn’t learn much this week other than something that will likely turn out big later. Whoever Dan is trying to contact to ask questions about tacheons (spelling?) can somehow reach his phone depsite being in the past. Waahuh?
(I do wonder how this old phone just works without an account, but that’s okay)
The stories in the past are always good little mysteries and I liked how this one got a bit dangerous and he actually acted like a guardian angel, where the people he was helping wondered who he was and why he was there. Interesting.
So what’s going on? Any theories? Still no clue why Olivia is there with him at times. Helping him in this last trip by distracting his wife. Does she ONLY travel, and never appear in the present time? Is that why she’s considered dead?
Such a great show, I really do hope it sticks around.
Kristen Bell, Welcome back to the Olbinski household. We’ve missed you!
Love, Mike and Jina
Still not sure what the big deal with Kristen Bell, but if she makes Heroes better, I’m all for it. So far it’s been a big disappointment.
Loving Journeyman so far, I hope it makes it, but it seems like that time slot is jinxed at the moment. Hopefully it can break the trend.
Scott, you really had to be a Veronica Mars fan to know her, but she’s like a superhero in the world of Comic-con, etc.
Obviously, there was a reason Lost was chasing her for a part, and then Heroes.
She also does the narration for Gossip Girl…actually, she IS Gossip Girl, you just don’t see her.
I love you
