Where oh where is the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 DVD?

Battlestar GalacticaA few of my readers watch Battlestar Galactica and the big question this summer has been “when will they release season 3 on dvd?”

The fourth and final season is tentatively supposed to begin around the same time as Lost and 24, so it would be nice for a few who missed last year to be able to catch up.

Bad news, according to this website, it’s looking like APRIL 2008!

That means we’ll be halfway through season four already. What a strange time to do it. They say the reason could be DVD extras, or they are trying to get an HD-DVD version as well, but who knows.

If you’re one of those waiting for it…better grow some serious patience.

    I dont watch BSG, but the whole timing on TVDVD is ridiculous.

    Many of the fall shows previous seasons are released 2-3 weeks before the new season premiere. Stupid.

    A show like Friday Night Lights should have had their DVDs released in June or July, allowing for a nice groundswell and word of mouth. I have a couple of friends I wanted to get caught up before the S2 premiere, but it didnt happen because few people can watch an entire season in a week or two.

    Agreed.

    You’d think these TV execs would realize how powerful these DVD’s are for building a following…but when you release them right before the next season starts, they really have no time to catch up.

    APRIL!?!?!?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! I purposely dont watch the series when its on tv, just so I can get the whole dvd season and watch it all in one shot in one day. OMG, April… what the heck…

    and secondly… Adam, you dont watch BattleStar?!?!

    The Capn says you would love it….
