You'd think these TV execs would realize how powerful these DVD's are for building a following...but when you release them right before the next season starts, they really have no time to catch up. Many of the fall shows previous seasons are released 2-3 weeks before the new season premiere. Stupid. A show like Friday Night Lights should have had their DVDs released in June or July, allowing for a nice groundswell and word of mouth. I have a couple of friends I wanted to get caught up before the S2 premiere, but it didnt happen because few people can watch an entire season in a week or two.
