So let’s get down to it. It’s been three weeks or so since the Fall TV season started and we’ve all tried out new shows, some we’ve loved, some are okay and some we’ve never, EVER watched again (I’m talking to YOU, Bionic Woman and Big Shots).
You’ve all had a chance to see enough to get a feel for them…so the question this week is:

What’s your favorite NEW Fall 2007 tv series?
Mine without a doubt is…hmm…let me think. It’s actually hard, because I like a few of 
them a lot. Pushing Daisies, Chuck…and Life. Although Life is now sitting there on our DVR with TWO episodes we haven’t watched, so I’m wondering how much I really like it.
But my answer has to be Journeyman.
I don’t know why, I didn’t think I’d enjoy a show that I prejudged to be a Quantum Leap clone, but I really, really do. It’s entertaining, well written, the acting is good and the stories have been keeping me glued to my seat.
Of course that means it will be canceled soon. I have a major history of falling in love with shows that never make it. Firefly, Sports Night…to name two.
This is a tough one. After giving it a month, some shows definitely didn’t make it that long, there’s not a lot I’m really excited about. I like Chuck and Pushing Daisies, but I’m not sure how long the storylines will hold my attention.
So far I’d also have to go with Journeyman. It’s different enough to hold me and I like the time travel aspect. Plus the issues of his thought to be dead, but so not girlfriend and his current wife are good. All married men can relate to this part I think.
Okay, I’m going to say two – one of which will make everyone question my TV recommendations from this point going forward…
First (and my only legitimate answer) is Pushing Daisies. I have already commented here as to why – go searching if you are so enamored by my opinions.
Second is… wait for it… Gossip Girl. Now, before the haters surface, I recognize this as a complete guilty pleasure that it totally frivolous and, to many, mind-numbing. But I find myself looking forward to it each week. And… because I see it for what it is, I would never tell you to watch it with me.
Chris (the Capn’s wife) would vote for Gossip Girl as well Jine… she likes it…

And yes, altrhough its a major dog, I am still watching the bionic woman… I have no idea why, its not even remotely good.

Since I already feel like I have too many shows that I’m committed to, and the TV is slowly zapping away all my free time, I have resisted the urge to watch any of the new shows…
However, one night I caught an episode of “Bionic Woman”. It was sooo cheesy with bad acting, bad dialog, it was just bad bad bad. Actually, the only good think about it was the music.
On another night, I caught an episode of “Life” and really enjoyed it. But I haven’t been motivated to go back and figure out what night it is on and set the tivo up to record it.
So, in short…I don’t have any “new” favorites, but my favorite show so far this season is Season 2 of “Dexter.”
Dexter!!!! woot!
Dexter is a forensic blood splatter expert for the police department by day…and a serial killer by night who only kills bad people. Yeah, quite the ethical conundrum – but hey, it’s TV and a fantastic show. The writing and acting are really good.
It’s a Showtime original series.

Ah, Showtime…we don’t get that. In fact, now that Conchords and Entourage are over, we need to cancel HBO as well.
