Not only are fans disappointed because the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 DVDs aren’t coming out until April of 2008, we now find out that it’s worse.
Season 4 is now also delayed until April 2008, which is utterly depressing. How long must we wait?
The upside is that at least there will be a killer summer show to watch when nothing is on but reality show trash, but still, it’s such a long time to wait for the final episodes.
Perhaps that’s why the DVDs are delayed, to coincide with the following season. Who knows.
The other part still up in the air is whether or not the final 20 episodes will be aired all in one season, or split into a second one that wouldn’t hit your television until 2009.
Ugh. 20 episodes over two years would be highly irritating.
You can read more about this stuff and season four tidbits (some slight spoilers, but nothing much) over at the LA Times blog.

OMG… you are killing me … simply killing me… how in the world can they possibly have the greatest show on earth, and btucher it by having season 3 dvd come out in April with the start of season 4 in April?!?!? I mean, come on….. THATS A HALF YEAR FROM NOW! Major ugh!
That is pretty typical – timing the release of the previous seasons dvd’s with the start of the following season. You know it has to be a marketing ploy because look at how fast they kick out movies onto dvd after they are out of the theater.
I loved the old BSG and was a fan. I only watched the first couple of episodes of season one when it originally aired of the new BSG and really liked it. I think I was distracted and never returned to watching it but everyone I know who watches it loves it. So I guess at some point I will have to catch up on this one as well…sigh.
Yep, it’s true – Trousered Apes love sci-fi…
Theater Screening of Razor on Nov 12th!?!?!?!

I love sci-fi too obviously, and this show is basically the best sci-fi I’ve ever seen.
