I Am Legend
I read “I Am Legend” during this past summer once I heard about the Will Smith movie coming out of the same name. I’ve been pretty excited about it and the book was pretty great. Anyways, here is a look at the newest poster for it.
Looks awesome.
The Friday Question – 10/12/07
Since I don’t stay up much past 10pm these days, I miss out on one of my favorite entertainers of all-time. At least, that was until the days of Tivo and such.
I now tape David Letterman (pictured right early in his life) every night and usually watch him when I get home from work in [...]
Friends and celebrity bloggers
I write this blog mainly for family and friends, although I hope others read it with interest in whatever I find amusing that day. It would be great to write for a wider audience.
But there are those who read it who also run their own blogs and I thought I’d highlight them and help promote [...]
Tivo Alert: Damages marathon
I know, I’ve pimped Damages enough yet none of you watch it. Why not? Don’t any of you trust me? Have I ever steered you wrong?
Now, if you say it’s because “There is no way we can watch as much TV as you do Mike”, then I get that. But if it’s because you are [...]
Battlestar Galactica Season Four preview
For the few of us who love this show, here’s a preview for next season already.

Direct TV releases more HD channels today
I checked before I left this morning and these new stations are indeed live and working.
* CNBC (Channel 355)
* MGM (Channel 255)
* National Geographic (Channel 276)
* Food Network (Channel 231-1)
Not sure why the Food Network has a “-” in the channel, but it works anyways. Also, if you haven’t heard about the one released late [...]
Heroes, Prison Break and Journeyman
Holy crap.
Stop reading NOW if you don’t want to know what happened on Prison Break.
Did you stop? If not, you’ve been warned.
It only took 20 minutes to answer the “what was in the box” question, which was a shocking development. I expected a finger, or a hand, or a foot, but not the almighty “Se7en” [...]
Battlestar Galactica: Razor flashbacks and more
For those of us who love Battlestar Galactica and have had the pleasure of experiencing the first three seasons, the news that the fourth season would be the final one was a bummer. Even more discouraging was the “Lost, 24″ effect where it wouldn’t return until around February of 2008.
However, the show announced that there [...]
TBS, TNT and Stretch-O-Vision stinks
One of my major pet peeves when I watch stuff on high-definition televisions is when things get stretched that shouldn’t be. As we all know, TV shows made before the HD era were square for the most part to fit our old 4:3 ratio TV’s.
Well, enter huge, wide-screen HDTV’s and the awesomeness that is the [...]
AML Book Review: “On the Road”
“On the Road” written by Jack Kerouac is considered one of the top 100 books in American Literature from 1923-2005. On the Road essentially defined the post-war Beat Generation, which is really something I didn’t know much about.
The book itself was written in 1951 over a three-week, sweat-ridden type-fest. Kerouac wrote non-stop and in [...]
