A good laugher of a line to start Heroes on Monday, but the rest of the episode had some interesting, if not predictable developments. All in all, it was pretty good.
The show seems to slow down when it hits the storylines of Hiro and Claire, and tonight was no exception. I don’t know what it is, but these two just aren’t as interesting as last year.
Yet. There was some promise tonight.
Hiro finally discovers what we kind of already knew: Adam Kensei is out to kill his captors. While the 7-episode introduction to the Hiro/Kensei storyline was too long and drawn out, the promise of a future confrontation is nearing.
It could have had the marks of a great epic battle, spanning 400 years and time travel, but it just doesn’t feel as awesome as it maybe should have. That being said, I can’t wait to see what happens between the two. Hiro stole Kensei’s love, and then Adam kills Hiro’s father.
The previews for next week show Hiro with a sword to Peter Petrelli’s throat, so I can only assume they might face off in the next episode.
Parkman becoming his father wasn’t much of a surprise either. We could tell it was coming before, but now that he’s starting to develop total mind control, he’s crossing the line over and over. The final straw was digging the name Victoria Pratt from Mother Petrelli, the consequences of which we don’t know yet.
I can’t seem to find anywhere that the name Pratt rings a bell with anyone we already know, but if anyone has info, pass it on!
So what of Claire’s dad Noah being shot like in the picture, but the stunner of an ending? Why does Bob bring him back to life? Whatever the reason, I’m glad, because he’s a good character. When he was shot, I was planning on writing that I doubt he’s dead, and then the question was answered in less than 5 minutes.
It was nice to see West finally serve some purpose and also Elle doing a bit of soul-searching at the end. She’s been so one-dimensional so far, it would be nice to see some internal conflict change the character a bit. Although her line to Suresh, “Check this out, Fight Club,” was hilarious. Vintage Kristen Bell from Veronica Mars.
Also, I know Claire broke West’s fall from the sky after being seriously zapped by Elle, but was that enough to allow him to get right back up and fly her away?
And finally, Adam has regenerated so much, that explains his lack of aging. He’s immortal now and cannot be killed. Wow. And we thought Sylar was bad ass. Of course, he can inflict more pain on his prey, whereas Adam can just live forever. Which is better?
Journeyman
Dan makes a huge mistake and should have listened to Olivia. He believes her warning only affects those he’s trying to help in the past, but never thinks about it catching up with him in the future.
The end is chilling and now Dan not only has the FBI on his tail, but the pedophile Aeden Bennett as well.
My wish almost came true in this episode: Jack starts believing him.
But that only lasted until Dan changed the timeline and their conversation never happened. Which sucked for me, but it was nice to see the writers are at least trying hard to not leave holes in these plots.
Yet with any story like this, there will be. One big question I have is this: If Dan usually travels, does his trip mission and then is pulled back, WHY did he stay longer this time to track down Bennett? To me, that’s a big plot hole. If the Tacheon Man, or whatever is controlling this, wants him to complete his mission and nothing else, why the extended time in this episode to do other stuff?
I think it’s a big plot hole and one we likely wont find any satisfaction with.
I still think the frustration Katie and her son face with Dan vanishing all the time is done very well and even seems pretty realistic. Even knowing your husband/father is doing good and helping people with the traveling, it must be frustrating to be having a serious talk and have him disappear right in the middle.
If you can’t depend on his presence at any given time, how can you continue your life?
A good thing about tonight’s show is that there was another preview for next week, meaning the show is still on the air. I haven’t heard any rumors about cancellation for awhile, and if the WGA strike ever ends, maybe NBC will keep it.

Definitely the best Heroes episode we’ve had so far. It’s finally starting to feel like last year. Some nice twists and some good stuff revealed. Of course now we’re up against the end of the completed episodes, which really sucks.
Journeyman, just keeps getting better. Any time travel show is going to have plot holes, I’m OK with that. Hey, it’s just TV.
I agree with Scott. Best Heroes so far. Not sure why Hiro would have a sword to Peters throat for next week but looks intriguing. I also like HRG man, and glad he was brought back to life for whatever reason…unless it was part of Suresh’s plan maybe to fool Bob?
Journeyman is really good. Whats really funny is it had higher ratings than that bionic trash on Wednesday nights (silly Jaime Sommers, you cant run 60 mph in heels…duh!!) so hopefully, Journeyman stays around. I totally loved he told his brother!!!… and then he didnt tell his brother..doh! Great show!
Heroes was pretty nice last night. 2 things… I’m guessing Hiro may have a sword to Peter’s throat because Hiro may stumble upon the fact that Peter is assisting Adam.
Also, about Noah coming back to life, was it Bob keeping him alive with Claire’s blood OR Adam with his own blood?
I’m all for building a backstory as the next person, but I agree it took too long to get the Hiro vs Adam thing going. Now that it’s going, we’re moving like a roller coaster.

If they’d quit bringing Katie J/Sackhoff in, the Bionic Woman might be better. Her character sucks.

But I don’t really know having stopped watching it after episode 1. I do know I liked her in the first one though.
Having seen every episode of the bionic woman let me give 2 quick examples of why it is utter trash.
Jaimes partner (the guy who got kicked off of grey’s anatomy) is taking apart a bullet. now big deal right, we get that he is going to examine it, but 7 minutes they show him taking it apart, pouring the gun powerder out of it, putting it down, picking it up, pouring more out, separating the gun powder like he’sgoing to do a cocaine line, all the while playing hype music like its a super action scene you are witnessing…huh?!?
Second, at point A is an assassin on a roof, at point B is the assassins target, and right in the middle of point A and B is Jaime. she decides she can get to the target at point B and save them from the assassins bullet. we see her then run at 60 mph, in high-heels mind you, only to get to the target at point and says “You have to get out of here!”, as the target people are already moving the target to safety. Sooo that whole scene was pointless.
They keep showing these scenese they drum out for 5-7 min segements where nothing hapens and they play music as if its a super action scene you are witnessing. The characters are all awful, the relationship Jaime has with her sister, is fake and unbelievable. The only interesting character is a guy who watches Jaime from the Ops lab who is sarchastic.
The show blows, but yes, i still watch it… its like a mission now to see if I can still do it…
