“Shutter Island” will be reteaming Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio for the fourth time. The drama is set in 1954. DiCaprio will play U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels, who is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escapes from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
Williams will be joining Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley in the Paramount Pictures film based on the Dennis Lehane novel. The pair have only recently joined the cast themselves. Mark Ruffalo will be playing the part of Chuck Aule which was once rumored to have been offered to Sylvestor Stallone. Kingsley will be playing J. Cawley, the hospital’s enigmatic chief physician who reluctantly plays host to the two marshals (DiCaprio and Ruffalo).

Lehane’s novel “Mystic River” was turned into the hit film (imdb) of the same name by Clint Eastwood and his “Gone Baby Gone
” is the basis for the Ben Affleck directed film (imdb) that is still playing in theaters.
Scorsese and DiCaprio have previously teamed up on “Gangs Of New York,” “The Aviator,” and “The Departed,” and are rumored to be considering a project called “The Rise Of Theodore Roosevelt” (among others).
“Shutter Island” hopes to start in March and will most likely shoot in Massachusetts, Connecticut or Nova Scotia.

This movie is going to be fantastic, I mean…really, really good.
Mike Olbinski’s last blog post..?Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? poster released
May be shooting in Massachusetts or Connecticut?? Crazy! I LIVE in Massachusetts. =P
This does indeed sound like it will be an interesting film, especially considering the success of Gangs of New York, The Aviator, and The Departed. Scorsese and Di Caprio really work quite well together.

I can’t wait! I think Leonardo Di Caprio, Ben Kingsley and Michelle Williams are great actors, and to top it off one of the greatest directors; Martin Scorsese. The plot of the movie sounds intense.
