I’ll just admit it right up front. Steve Nash is more of a man than I will ever be. I play basketball, and at the slightest twinge of pain, I usually take a seat, afraid to injure myself further.
Steve Nash, on the other hand, chips his tooth and does halftime interviews like nothing happened. Like he didn’t just CHIP A HUGE CHUNK OF HIS TOOTH OFF!
I’d be running for the locker room, crying, asking someone to take me to the dentist, to hell if it means we lose to the Utah Jazz! Bring the stretcher, call the ambulance!
Seriously though, I’ve been a Suns fan my entire life, all 32+ years of it living here in Phoenix. But while I’ve seen some amazing things during that time, last night’s game held one that I’ll never forget.
Nash chips his tooth and does a halftime interview seconds later. It’s totally noticeable and hilarious. But the funniest part comes after Michelle Tafoya asks her second question. It will probably go down as one of the highlights of the 2007-08 NBA season.
Enjoy the video above.
Very nice! He sounded a bit like Truman Capote there…which is going to give me laughs the remainder of the afternoon as I think about Tru running the point for the Suns.
Though honestly, that’s how Nash rolls. He’s got ice water in his veins…he’s always playing *in cold blood*.
R.A. Porter’s last blog post..Pushing Buffy
Great comparison, he totally sounded like Capote
totally cool exact sound as capote but honestly that move was H..O..T!
Haha, I did. Poor Nash. Now he’ll have to see a dentist and get it fixed. :p By the way, Suns beat the Jazz. Kinda funny–they beat one of the top teams in the West, yet they lost to two of the worst teams in the East in Miami and Minnesota. Good win for the Suns.
