Just wanted to pass on a reminder that we all already know about and probably don’t even need since A) we’ve been dreading these final two days for weeks now and B) our DVRs will automatically record them anyways.
Journeyman airs episodes #12 tonight (Monday) and #13 on Wednesday. They promise to be flat-out awesome, give us answers to many questions and be a ton of fun. We’ll probably end up missing the show even more after these final two viewings.
As I wrote last week, I picked Journeyman as my favorite network show of the fall, and I think I really fell in love with it during the episodes with Aeden Bennett. It reached new heights that week and solidified it to me as a quality show.
Now it’s almost done and it sucks big time. So enjoy tonight’s episode, we’ll talk about it tomorrow of course, and then we’ll get prepped for Wednesday.
I leave you with a heartfelt blog from show creator Kevin Falls, who thanked all the fans last week for their support. Thank you Kevin, for a great little show.

To the Fans,
Well, this is the message I didn’t want to post. I’m sure as most of you know by now, Journeyman will likely not be getting a back nine order. Rather than dwell on the reasons behind this decision, my fellow Executive Producer, the great Alex Graves and myself would rather remind people that our last two episodes will air next Monday night, December 17 th at 10 PM and Wednesday December 19th at 10 PM. These two episodes will provide some answers, plenty of speculation, a few surprises and hopefully some satisfying closure. They are, I promise you, very entertaining.
I want to thank the tireless and talented Kevin McKidd and the entire cast (in my opinion, the best on television and guess what, the kindest and most professional). Yes, it was hard breaking stories on this show, but it would have been harder without the collective genius of the writing staff. Every guest director that passed through said our crew was the best they ever worked with, basically telling me something I already knew. Some producers loathe their relationships with studio and networks, maybe that’s because they never worked for the executives at 20th Century Fox and NBC. My sincerest thanks.
And finally, to the fans. Thank you for appreciating a different kind of show that sought to not only entertain, but to provoke and inspire. I’d like to think it says a lot about you. When the numbers slipped and we sometimes seconded guessed ourselves, you gave us validation and so we stayed the course.
Oh, and your fight to save Journeyman has humbled and moved us. I’m certainly not going to tell you to stop now. Again, our sincere gratitude and a deep bow from the waist.
It’s been fun. I wish you all the Happiest of Holidays.
Kevin Falls
I can’t begin to express how upset I am with this…but the post from Kevin Falls makes it a little bit easier to deal with.
After Rome and Journeyman, anything Kevin McKidd does I will be watching, no doubt.

Here’s hoping these aren’t the last two.

NBC hasnt officially said its been offed yet, no have they given any word on the Trash Bionic Woman show either… heres to holding out with optimisim!!!
Bionic Woman is garbage
It shouldn’t come back
Things aren’t turning out like I’d hoped. Being a fan of the original Bionic Woman, I was pretty disappointed with the crappyness of the new one’s last episodes.
Now, Journeyman probably gone. I didn’t expect to even like this show! Too bad.

I really liked that episode…can’t wait for next week.
I got goosebumps when Dan walked in and the way the psychic reacted to him.

Got a post coming soon where we can talk about the episode…that was fun!

Why is there not talk of Journeyman moving to the Sci Fi Channel?? That is where this show belongs anyway! This program would do great on Sci Fi and would not fall pray to the Bigger Ratings numbers that the major networks demand. Any thoughts on this? I love this show and hate to see it end!
Eric, I totally agree with you and I think I wrote about that a few weeks ago, but yeah, Sci-Fi would be a great home for it.
It’s also related to NBC I think right? I mean, BSG is on Sci-Fi, then also plays on UHD, so that makes sense.
Sci Fi channel…. wish I could get that here in Canada…..

Tim, you can’t get that there? I guess Direct TV isn’t available in Canada?

Hands down, the best show of the year! If the show must end, let them go out swinging!
I was just lying in bed thinking about show possibilities for Journeyman, when a wild idea struck me. If the show comes back in some form, it would be neat to see an episode where we discover if Livia is alive in the present time line as an old woman!?!? Thoughts??
Eric, that would be interesting, I don’t know for sure why Dan hasn’t looked her up.
I guess maybe she would be just too old at that time, or else…I dunno.
I somehow think she doesn’t make it that long, as all the travelers are dying off the Tacheon Man said.
My family and I finally watched the Dec 19th Journeyman tonight. Although the high quality of the last two episodes in particular only intensifies the sense of unfairness at the network’s decision not to order more, I must admit that the 13 hours of Journeyman built to points of climax and closure, making the current situation feel more like the conclusion of a BBC-like limited series that might someday spawn a sequel (“House of Cards” comes to mind, for example), rather than the abrupt and premature cancellation of the typical Hollywood TV show.
I have already written to NBC, in hopes of keeping the series alive, but if that can’t happen, I think everyone involved can walk out of “Journeyman” with heads held high. As an appreciative member of the audience, I would like to thank the excellent cast, headed by Kevin McKidd, for breathing life into characters, about whom it was easy to care. I would like to thank the producers, directors, and writers for giving us credit and not talking down to us, and especially for not letting the fantastic premise of the series degenerate into absurdity. I’d also like to acknowledge and appreciate the additional respect shown to us in the audience, by everyone in the cast and crew, as demonstrated by their creation of thirteen hours of television that told a coherent story, with a beginning, a middle, and an end (if the mobius strips of time-loops can ever be said to have such things). Leaving the audience hanging would have been the easiest thing to do. It took real craftsmanship and discipline to create a run of stories that together were a “novel for television,” while still leaving open the possibility for more episodes in the future. The people responsible for Journeyman took the high road, and I hope it helps them to know that some of us out here realize that and are grateful for their commitment.
Hey James, awesome sentiments and I think you are right. We totally got a nice little story in 13 episodes and while it sucks that it could be completely over, it did end on a good note with a slight bit of “coming full circle.”
