    While I might not think all of those shows were great within the last year (yes, Grey’s Anatomy, not your best year), I do think most of these cast nominations are accurate. I think many TV shows struggle not because their actors got bad, but the writing and directing did.

    And it’s nice to see some less well known movies get some acting nods, like Into the Wild and 3:10 to Yuma.

    It’s funny, because in a lot of entertainment publications the number 1 shows are Lost, BSG, Heroes, etc. I enjoy Heroes, but openly admit the acting isn’t all there. With Lost and BSG, I honestly think they aren’t taken seriously because nobody knows what to do with them… they are so fresh and original, I guess people have a hard time comparing them to the status quo.
