An angry Jennifer Love Hewitt took to her MySpace page to defend herself against ridicule being lobbed against her on the internet over pictures taken of her in a bikini on the beach with her fiance, Scottish actor Ross McCall.
About my Vacation…
Current mood: annoyed…and all the pictures of it online.
This is the last time I will address this subject.
I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.”
A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful.
What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body.
To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.
Xoxo
Splashnewsonline.com first posted the shots followed by TMZ.com, along with some less-than-complimentary comments. TMZ.com, for example, said, “We know what you ate this summer, Love â€â€? everything!”

So what do you think? Is she fat?
I’m not sure I would say all the pictures are flattering, but I’m not sure how anyone would consider her fat. Jennifer is absolutely correct in saying that a size 2 is not, should not, and has never been considered, fat.
Unfortunately, the attention she’s getting for the pictures is an unfortunate side effect of the business she’s in. There will always be those who will judge her more harshly because of who she is and what she does for a living. I’m not saying they are right for saying what they are saying, but I’m not surprised that it is being said.
Still, though, this is another one of those things that makes me wonder about the state of our society. What does it say about us as a people that many would look at a woman who is a size 2 and judge her to be fat? How are we supposed to teach our daughters to have a healthy self image if they see pictures like these on the television or internet with hundreds of people screaming out that the person in the picture is too fat?

It’s pretty ridiculous the way we scrutinize celebrities these days and maybe there needs to be laws against it, I dunno. Britney Spears is nuts of course, but if you had hundreds of photographers following you everyday, hoping you screw up, I’ll bet you would screw up.
As far as Jennifer Love Hewitt, not flattering pictures at all, I would almost have a hard time believing she’s a size 2 here, but I think she’s right on with what she said anyways. Who cares what you look like, just enjoy life! It’s too short to care!

Well, I’m kind of taking her at her word that she’s a size 2… I’m not sure I buy that either. Still, though, I wouldn’t call her fat.
I wouldn’t say she is fat exactly. I don’t buy the size 2 stuff either. She does look fatter than I have seen her in her movies though. I’d probably still give her a good spankin’.

I’ve always vowed that if I ever had my 15 minutes of fame and a bunch of photographers wanted to follow me around and ridicule my less than perfect body, I’d turn my Canon against them and show the world just how @#$!#$ing hideous these camera people are.
Seriously … I thought that celebrities only went to beaches that allowed “beautiful people”. How did all the paparazzi get in?
Our body is just that. Ours. Regardless of celebrity status, nobody should feel bad because of thier appearance.

Well, Jason, I think maybe some people should feel slightly bad about their bodies…I mean, let’s be honest…
Right Jason. Some people should consider never bringing their body out of their house again until they fix it.
