ABC is really pushing hard to pump us all up for the fourth season of Lost, which arrives on January 31st.
This week they’ve released ALL THREE SEASONS so far of Lost on their website in beautiful streaming high definition. If you haven’t seen Lost in HD yet, now is the time.
So what does that give us now?

- The 8:15 recap of the first three seasons – I highly recommend watching this one!
- The awesome extended edition of the season 4 trailer
- Streaming HD episodes.
I honestly don’t know how much more promotion I can handle!
My only beef with ABC at this moment is the special warning I get when I try to watch these high definition episodes:
Lovely, I’m on Ubuntu, with Firefox but I can’t see them. Frakking A!
You know, somehow Apple.com and other sites with high definition trailers and episodes are all visible on Linux, but not ABC.com.
Oh well, enjoy them…I’m going to have to skip over to my wife’s computer and watch them there. A few older episodes NEED to be seen again.
WOOT – LOST in HD is the bomb…I wonder what resolution they are pushing the video out at and, now that they are doing this, I wonder if they will release the first two seasons on Blu-ray sooner rather than later. I know the TV HD broadcast is put out at 720p resolution while the Blu-ray version is done at 1080p.

That’s good news. I’ll have to check those out. I would like to see “Another 48 Days” because I missed that one the first time around due to a power outage.

We’ve been re-watching seasons 1 thru 3 on DVD and it has been totally enlightening – the extra things we’ve been picking up on. It’s also been amazing to see how truly talented the writers are – they knew from the beginning what path certain characters, such as Michael, were going to take and laid the groundwork for it very early on. I wish the strike would end so they could get back to work! (And get paid what they deserve!)

I tried watching some episodes tonight. It sucks, seriously sucks. The only thing that plays anywhere near smoothly are the ads. Everything else is too choppy to watch. Very disappointing.
That choppy, streaming video is the death knell of the HD format war don’t ya know.

I think their server is having trouble keeping up with the load. It seems better now than it did around 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
I probably couldn’t watch them on the computer anyways, I’d rather just rent them even in SD and watch episodes on the big screen.
I think I’d have a hard time focusing that much on one thing on the computer for that long
