We’ve already seen some Battlestar Galactica previews for season 4 that’s coming in March, but now we get some season 4 spoilers and a KILLER photo of the cast in a Last Supper setting.
This photo is a scan from an Entertainment Weekly article in their latest issue, which of course I don’t have yet since the magazine always takes a frakking long time to get to my house for some reason.
Thank you to Galactica Sitrep for the heads up on this and mediocrechick for the scans.
Before you go any further, realize that there are MASSIVE spoilers in the two photos below and this blog. Major giveaways for season 3 and big hints for season 4, so do NOT read it if you want to discover stuff on your own.
What we see in the photo is a Last Supper scene which is just awesome to look at. There are circled numbers in various places in the picture, mostly over people, although one stands on its own. Here it is below, and you can click on it for the full-sized, high resolution version.
Anyone who is caught up with the show may notice someone is missing from this photo. I thought that was what #10 was supposed to represent, but after reading the below scan, I’m not sure. The person missing of course is Tori, who is a Cylon along with Tigh, Tyrol and Anders. Why is she not in the picture?
Either she’s not at the “star” level as these other actors and that’s why she’s absent, or there is a specific reason she’s not here.
What do the numbers mean? Well, you can see the scan of that below as well. I will say, there are potential spoilers on it and also some juicy tidbits.
Some guesses as to what some of the circled numbers might mean:
#7 – The chief holds a knife in his hands…perhaps he’s thinking of killing his child, the second Cylon-human born kid in the galaxy.
#8 – I think both Sharon and Halo are looking at #2, Natalie, a new version of Number 6, who is also in the middle with the red dress. With the #2 spoiler, it looks like Natalie’s ground agenda could be to denounce the presence of Cylon-humans hybrids?
#10 – Does that really mean NO ONE at this table is the final Cylon? Very interesting…who could it be then?
According to another tip at the bottom of the photo, we get 10 episodes of the show before they run out.
So what do you think? If you even looked at this stuff above, any hints or thoughts? I’m so pumped now, I now have Lost and Battlestar Galactica as my two most anticipated series returns this year.
(don’t forget to pre-order Battlestar Galactica Season 3 today!)

Although I didnt read this article because I’m waiting for season 3 and cant yet, I just wanted to say: I WISH I COULD!!! (I had to scroll quick to the bottom too so I didnt see any of the pictures)
i saw this picture yesterday and it was very interesting. on a recent interview with entertianment weekly, ronald d moore said that the final cylon is not seating at the table which means starbuck is not a cylon which makes me really happy. but she will play an important roll in the upcoming season. And one other thing i’m worried about is that when they find earth, i hope it is as technologyically advanced as the colonies. because in the old BSG earth was really behind.
I agree Amanuel…I’d like Starbuck to be more like an angel or one of the children of light I think? I never watched the old series, but I thought there was something like that.
When they reach earth…who knows what it will be like…I think whatever time period they pick will work out fine.
Can’t wait for season 4. Any news on production of the final 10 episodes to complete the split season? Last I heard it was very possible that the 10 episodes coming in April could very well be the end due to the writer’s strike. I hope we aren’t frakked with an incomplete series.
I personaly believe that everyone at that table is another set of 12 cylons with the 13th being the God Cylon that have a total different agenda from the ones chasing galactica. I believe the Final cylon is Zak Adama
hahaahah, nice
I like this theory:
- Earth didn’t come from Kobol, it’s the other way around (duh).
- The Cylons are somewhat aware of this fact, because their archaeological digs on Kobol made them realeize that some of the species there, including humans, are mysteriously without biological cousins whereas everything else fits nicely.
- The Kobolites were a radical religious separatist movement, who rewrote history to suit their own tastes.
- And all because…
- The Kobolites nuked Earth before they left.
- And…
- The remnants of the Earth inhabitants are more than salty at the Kobolites. And in the thousands of years since they’ve dug themselves out from under the rubble and rebuilt a shining civilization.
- Which is…
- The counterpart to the beings of light in the original series, through a dark prism.
- And so…
- If the human colonists are the first ones to show up at Earth the terrans will annihilate them in the blink of an eye out of trepidation that the Kobolites have returned at last to bring more destruction.
- But…
- If the Cylons show up first, whether they’re mostly rebellious centurions by that point or still under the command of the humanoid models, the terrans will wipe out most of their fleet.
- Then, realizing their superior position, the terrans will meet the next comers (the colonists) more kindly.
- Because…
- All this has happened before, and will happen again.
Interesting theory…where did you hear that one?
I came up with much of that, and my brother added the crucial tidbit about the Kobolites actually nuking Earth, not just abandoning it, before they left.
Humans are decedants from cylons this is why it has happened before and will happen again. The civil war in season 4 between the skin jobs and toasters would go along with this theory. When earth is found it will be in the 21st century.
[...] you remember the great photo shoot that Entertainment Weekly did back in January for season 4 of Battlestar Galactica, then you [...]
Well, they found Earth and there was nothing but ruins and irradiated soil. Ruin’s did look 21 centuryish. I guess their Earth is our Earth in the near future after we have destroyed ourselves.
I had a thought about the humans being descended from the cylon. I believe that the human race died a lot longer ago than we are lead to believe, destroyed by the cylons. Yet the Cylons always evolve to take the form of their creators. They learn to mate..they have children, and over thousands of years loose touch with their humble technical beginnings. However, despite years of mating and genetic split..they still have one fatal problem. The original cylons were built with an “error” in their base coding. I believe they are purpetually reinacting the same events over and over again. (This has all happened before, It will happen again). Someone in the cylon gene pool always comes along time after time and wants a faster machine. the cylon are built..they destroy themselves, some escape…find the orginal home of humanity..and the whole cycle starts all over again. Every few thousand years they have a chance to change things..to stop destroying themselves, but something always stops them from taking it. I believe after finding earth the 12 cylons will leaving “humanity” there and return to kobol. From their they evolve again…leave kobol…re colonize the 12 colonies…Its a loop…the same players …playing different parts..every cycle.
You guys should come post over on the recap thread and join the conversation there!

I think that the 5th cylon is on Earth and has been calling them back. I think that the 5 originally separated themselves off to give up their ability to replicate to make them really human and separate from the other cylons as they are now with the Hub gone. This is the final part of their evolution to give up their ability to download. It seems like there are still a number of more episodes to be shown, at least that’s whats listed in IMBD and the rumour is that there are at least made for TV/DVD movies that they are talking about. We will see if there are more to come.
Oh man I can’t wait. The plot is just too sick.
