It’s been tossed around a lot during the Writer’s Strike, but it seems like the longer it gets, the more real the thought becomes.
If the strike doesn’t conclude soon, there wont be any more writing done on shows this season and they’ll end up coming back sometime in the fall starting fresh.
Except for Scrubs.
This the final season for one of my most favorite series in the last 5 years. They had planned a great finish to their run, one they promised would be satisfying to fans everywhere.
Now, if the strike lingers on, none of that will ever happen. There are only five episodes left of the 11 produced this season, and although there is no date yet on when they’ll return, we do know those could be the last five ever.
Zach Braff wrote a bulletin on MySpace today that kind of put the looming news out there for all of us:
Many of you have asked about the fate of the final episodes of Scrubs. If the strike goes on too much longer there is a good chance they will never be written or shot and the series finale will remain in the mind of our show’s creator, Bill Lawrence…
Ugh, what a sad thought. I would really love to see this thing end the way it was meant to.
We’ll see…hopefully this thing ends sooner rather than later.
Braff also posted a link to his YouTube video of his “Speechless” spot in support of the strike. You can see a bunch more by other famous actors and starts by visiting SpeechlessWithoutWriters.com.

Hilarious video – what, no Ape love?
Best line from that video…”I’d tap that” – ror
Unfortunately for Scrubs, I think they are going to be a victim of a Writers Strike and it really is sad that they might not get to end the series properly since it was such a hilarious show.
I really want to know what they were planning on doing… everything we’ve heard was that it was going to be a great end to the show. I guess it makes sense that a show that has never gotten the attention it deserved, wouldn’t be able to finish like they wanted to. But… I haven’t given up hope. Keep hope alive!!!!
It will indeed be a tragedy if Scrubs doesn’t end properly. I don’t watch many television shows on a regular basis, but there are three I never miss – Lost, The Office and Scrubs. Scrubs is one of the most original, entertaining, and funny shows EVER. I for one may shed a tear if we don’t get to see how it all ends.

Ah – for those who may have forgotten – new Episodes of Monk and Psych begin tonight on the USA Network. Both are being shown in HD if you have that capability.
I’ve enjoyed Monk when I’ve seen it, but that hasn’t been too often.
Psych is pretty good i hear.
If you get a chance – they are running several older episodes today of both Monk and Psych, but if you don’t watch tonight – at least record it and watch it later. Psych is pretty funny stuff.
[...] Please WGA and AMTPT, let’s end the strike now for the sake of Scrubs… [...]
Ugh, what if all the fans chip in a few dollars to see the last few episodes? Cause i totally would…someone needs to pay the writers damn it.
