This post has some spoilers from season 3 and 4 in it, so you may not want to read any further if you are behind.
Figured you Lost-Aholics out there would like this new poster that ABC has out there now, which shows the castaways standing on the beach, with tall palm trees in the background and the ocean in front of them with the reflection of the island.
Except, NO, it’s not the island, it’s some city skyline. No one knows what city it might be, but it’s likely to be where we saw Jack and Kate in the season finale. That’s my thoughts, but it could really be any big city.
But the real mysterious element to the poster is the spooky oval looking shape that it reflected in the water above the city skyline. Now, if you don’t want to know anything about season 4, stop here.
I am pretty sure I know what it is, if you look closely, it’s a number. I thought an “8″ at first, but I’m confident it’s a “6″ from reading elsewhere.
Why is that significant? Well, one of the big plot points this season is going to be the Oceanic 6, the six survivors who actually get off the island and become famous.
Who are they? We know Jack and Kate already seem to be off. And whoever died could be one of the six. Who else? No idea. I’ll guess Hurley, but who knows.
So I guess it’s really not THAT mysterious, but it’s cool regardless.
Anyways, we only have 13 days left until the season premiere, but it’s getting harder and harder to wait.

Awesome! I can’t wait until next Thursday for the journey to begin again. I may have to borrow someone’s Season 3 DVDs to watch for a refresher.

Dang, it’s already time! I’m not complaining. I just thought I had more time to watch some of the last episodes to refresh my memory. I’m starting to get excited!

I know man, we’ve been thinking about trying to borrow season 3 from some friends to watch some episodes, but I don’t think we’ll be able to.
I actually think I’ll wait until I get that Blu-Ray player someday and then watch Lost from the beginning again.
Funny, I just noticed the reflection tonight on TV and thought I was “dumb” for not noticing it for three years.
At first, I thought it might be the Seoul skyline (because the DARMA logo mimics the South Korean flag), but it definitely isn’t. Nor is it NY, LA or Sydney. The buildings are too spaced apart (and too evenly spaced apart) to be a “real” skyline, so I suspect it is some fictitious industrial home/city of the people running the project.
Three years ago? This is pretty new, you aren’t saying there was this poster that long ago?

@ Mugsy – We know that they launch out of Seattle and they recruited Juliet from Miami – both of those cities have skylines as well.

I just downloaded the new Lost poster, the one with the skyline reflecting in the water. Anyone notice the image in the water in the forground?
I think that is the greek symbol THETA. Some people use that symbol to describe the effect of time on appearance, or in other words a person’s appearance versus time.
Would I be goofy to asume that the island is one big time machine?

Interesting thought, particularly since time does seem to be a major part of the story.
