I swear, Prison Break is like a train wreck for me. Every week I get annoyed by what happens on it, yet I can’t stop watching it. I HAVE to know what happens so at least I can be there for the big escape, whenever that might be.
And we actually know that now, as the previews indicate that Prison Break returns in two weeks where “the escape begins!”
They are hyping it as the best escape from prison EVER, so it sure has some serious awesome to give us when the time comes.
Monday’s episode was a bit better than last week, as some people actually died for once. This time it was Sammy and his cronies, who were close to killing Michael the second they could.
I thought it was funny though that Sammy drops a case of beer on the railing edge, makes a big announcement that anyone who brings him Scofield will get that entire box of brewskies, and all anyone does is stand in the courtyard cheering.
These people have like nothing good to eat, you’d think they’d have rushed out in droves to find him.
And of course, Sammy has a frakking gun and he doesn’t even make the attempt to find him on his own. Whatever.
I did groan a little that Sucre now has Mari Cruz in trouble if he doesn’t pass on info he overhears from Lincoln to Gretchen, but that’s the way this show goes.
I really wish they’d try to form plots for this show that extend outside the walls, like the year with them on the run. Yeah, it’s called Prison Break, but we’ve over that by now and it’s time to get them out on the run again.
So what did you think of The Sarah Connor Chronicles this week?
My wife made an interesting observation on how Cameron suddenly acts all robotic, yet in episode one, she is practically flirting with John in the New Mexico high school. How can she act totally realistic there and now forget it all?
Minor plot hole I guess, but this show is naturally going to be full of them. Which brings me to the next question mark.
Obviously the bad terminator, Cromartie, ends up finding the guy who must be the one who invents some kind of artificial skin, but now that he’s dead at the end, who’s going to be the guy inventing it in the future?
If you think that sentence was hard to follow, that’s just about equal to how it is trying to figure out what the heck is going on.
And then there is the cell phone guy who is making an artificial intelligent chess playing computer in this basement. Sarah burns his house down at the end of the episode, but did that really stop the machines?
It feels like every week they will find someone who “could” be the creator of Cyberdyne, only to kill them or stop them, and yet nothing changes. Hopefully it doesn’t get too formulaic.
So what did you think of the episodes of either Prison Break or Sarah Connor? Did you like Cromartie getting his skin back in a bathtub of blood? Did you get freaked out by the girl jumping off the edge of the building?
Are you PUMPED for the escape from Sona in two weeks?
I prefer to think about time in the Terminator universe kind of like how they do on Lost: “the universe has a way of course correcting.” So, if Cromartie killed the inventor of the artificial skin, someone else will just invent it. Kind of like how even though they blew up Cyberdyne in T2, the government ended up creating SkyNet in T3. Sucks for them, though, cuz that means Judgement Day is kind of inevitable, unless they convince the worldwide governments to enforce anti-AI research. Seems like their only hope, I think.

Ah, I like that point of view…at least, it makes me less inclined to nitpick over everything and maybe actually enjoy the show
3 episodes in, the show still is average at best, nothing happens in it…it isnt exciting or carry any intensity at all. River (the terminator) has this constant look like shes zoning, its odd. The characters dont have you feeling anything for them yet (at least not me)…
I can’t believe the Cap’n S. is my own flesh’n blood. This is a great show. How could you not like the characters yet?
PB was def better this week, let’s just get them out now. Please! There should be some decent action once that happens.
I’m still onboard Terminator and liked this week better than last. As for the guy who invents artificial skin, remember he mentions that the formula that the terminator wrote on the wall was close to what he and others had done. So there are definitely others working on it. Not to mention that anyone with a sponge and some soap could wash off the blood and get the formula. Duh!
I like this one, I hope it keeps getting better.

Howdy Cap’n Auntie!! The analogy I make is like the movie Titanic..
This seires will be nothing but running (from terminators, which we really havent seen yet), and or trying to change the future, which clearly they can not do (its why Skynet was still built and such). So since we all get the fact this will be a run away type of series, at least make it interesting week to week. In titanic, we all knew how the movie was going to end (even before it was released), but it at least had a really great story onboard the ship, and characters you could relate to, you felt for them. So far in this series, there is nothing exciting happening, no intensity at all so far, not even the escape drama music of a terminator bearing down on them. Whats the threat so far?!?! Oh no! Not a mighty chess playing PC that can hack MO’s server to a crawl (oh wait, thats already happening)!! There isnt one…John is on the run but manages to get signed up for every school in a new town….I mean, whats happening in the show other than making you want T4 to come out sooner, where you will actually cheer for the characters and feel like you are with them as opposed to watching them, which is what this show does, I dont feel a part of it, I feel as if i’m observing it (and it does little to hold my observing interest…. hey…what’s that on the Martha Stewart channel??…’click’).
