A day before the 2007 Oscar nominations came out, perhaps an even more prestigious awards group released their own list of films and actors that achieved greatness in 2007.
Except that it was greatness in sucking.
That’s right, the 28th Annual Razzies award nominations are out and there were some seriously sucky films in 2007.
They were so bad that I’m not even going to bother linking to them on IMDB.com or anywhere else. If you want to go find out more about them, good luck to you!
Lindsey Lohan leads the way, being nominated TWICE for Worst Actress for the two characters she played in I Know Who Killed Me. That film racked up a high of 9 Razzie nominations.
But it was Eddie Murphy who achieved new arenas of suckage, earning himself FIVE total Razzie nominations for the horrid Norbit. From the Razzie official press release:
The Latex-laden, nearly laugh-free “comedy NORBIT, in which Murphy plays three distinct (and decidedly stinky) characters “won Eddie a chance to take home trophies for Worst Supporting Actor (as the Asian character Mr. Wong) Worst Supporting Actress (as the hideous 400 pound harpy Rasputia) and Worst Actor (as the title character) as well as having Murphy compete alongside himself for Worst Screen Couple. For having co-written the misbegotten mess, Eddie is also a Worst Screenplay nominee.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry tied with Norbit with 8 nominations. I heard some pretty horrible things about this movie, especially how they try to preach at the end about equality and understanding for homosexuals, yet all the movie did was deliver supposed comedy on every stereotype that homosexuals are trying to change.
So below is the full list of the 2007 Razzie Nominations, their 28th such event.
