    Hey Mike, I read a theory (can’t remember where), that there is more than one monster. Someone speculated that the monster at the end was not the same as the one running around Manhatten because it appeared to be smaller. Hmmmmmmm. . .

    Dude, we have to stop writing the same stuff… I didn’t see this until after I posted mine. I claim victory, though…I have audio.

  6. Yet even more clues to Cloverfield monster

    [...] This video was apparently released on LiveLeak.com, and I found it thanks to Adam’s blog who has been following these Cloverfield post-release clues. [...]

    The pieces washed up on shore are partially eaten sperm whales…not the monster.

    I own the dvd of cloverfield, and as far as the noise at the end of the credits goes, remember when the helicopter crashed and Hud was knocked out with the camera just sitting there, well, there is a voice of a military officer stating that the military is about to begin bombing Clover, so on my dvd credits I swear the guy is saying “NOW WHAT?” listen close. It sounds like the same voice from the chopper crash.If my theory is correct, then the military is saying, 1. clover is still alive or there is another monster. Think about it.

    They’re practicly torturing us by making us wait. If they don’t make a sequel (which is very doubtful) people will be very, very mad. I do agree with 2 monsters. I think the monster invading the city hit the helicopter as a final blow then died, but the monster that killed Hud was still alive without people noticing explaining the “it’s still alive” theory. It is very possible that the second monster (if there even was one) was the first monsters baby.

    @Kevin

    A sequel would be lame. The whole appeal of the movie was the mysterious way it was marketed.

    When they run into the subway and you see the monster for the first time, it has different teeth to the one that bites Hud in half. Also you can apparently see two monsters on the Brooklyn Bridge scene in which Jason bites the dust. The ‘Two Monster’ theory is an interesting one, but certainly not an unlikely one. I sure hope that ‘Super 8′ is actually a ‘Cloverfield’ sequel, but even if it’s not, I’ll still see it all the same.
