“Get Smart” Teaser Poster and International Trailer With Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway

I’ve mentioned before how much I loved the TV show, Get Smart, when I was a kid. I still do. There’s something about that type of comedy that really appeals to me. I still laugh when I think about all the stuff Max used to get himself in to. And the show was filled with classic bits.

Who could forget the shoe phone, the cone of silence or those classic Maxwell Smart lines such as, “Missed it, by that much!”, “Would you believe…?”, “Sorry about that, chief.”, and, after a long description of the danger he is about to confront, “…and loving it!”, “He fell for the old (fill in the blank) trick.” And, who didn’t have a crush on Agent 99. She was smart, pretty, and stood by her man no matter what.

The teaser trailer for the film version of “Get Smart” starring Steve Carell has been out for a while now, but the International trailer was just released.

This teaser poster has been out for a while now as well. I think it’s pretty decent for a teaser. Covering Max’s face with Agent 99′s (Anne Hathaway) hair seems to be right in line with the tone of the TV show.

In the all-new action comedy, “Get Smart,” Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS.When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson). Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS’ master plan – and each other – they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried (Terrence Stamp) and his sidekick Shtarker (Kenneth Davitian) are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Given little field experience and even less time, Smart – armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm – must defeat KAOS if he is to save the day.
