It’s here. Finally. And yes, this blog post may contain spoilers.
Tonight, we get to see what the heck happens to our beloved survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Who gets rescued? Who stays? Why do they stay? What do these supposed rescuers want?
I have to say, the enhanced version of the Lost: Season 3 finale that played Wednesday night has me all ready and caught up with the Lost universe once again. I totally forgot that Jack told Kate he loved her.
Of course the enhanced version included a lot of pop-up facts about what was happening and the very first was a total spoiling of “when” Jack was at the start of the episode. I sincerely hoped no one was watching it for the first time.
Now seeing it from the beginning, did it seem as obvious to you as it did to me that Jack was in a flash-forward? I mean, duh, of course we now know, but watching it back it just seemed like it couldn’t be anything else BUT the future.
In fact, it must have been tough to be the writers putting that together while hoping no one figured it out. After you see it, there are a million clues lying around that might give it away.
Despite that, it didn’t take a single thing away from seeing the end one more time. What a phenomenal television show. The writing, the uniqueness…all of it.
The biggest thing about the finale though was Charlie. I got all sad once more seeing his final sacrificial act, and then taking the time to write on his hand, “Not Penny’s boat.”
I think we’re all going to miss the little guy from Drive Shaft.

- The first thing is that some people were wondering if the WGA Strike continues and we lose the end of the seasons, what happens to the missing 8 episodes that we’re supposed to get this year? The Pop Candy girl from USA Today usually knows all, but has zero idea on this. So it’s up in the air as to what will happen. We’re supposed to get 48 episodes over 3 years, but will it end up only being 40?
- There are all kins of strange billboards and vehicles showing up with Oceanic Airlines painted on them, which is just another amazing bit of viral marketing. Who knows where it will all lead.

Hopefully that will be enough to chew on before the premiere tonight.

After watching that episode last night I am sooooo ready get my Lost on.
I am so ready for Lost! I cried like a baby at Charlie last night, I really hope we still see him a lot. And then I got sad thinking this show is going to end one day. NOOOOOO!

I watched Lost last night and it seriously got me pumped and ready for tonight. There were definitely details that I had forgotten (like what Jack told Kate).
You mentioned how it must have been hard for the writers to keep us guessing that Jack was in the future, but I noticed something last night that has me confused. When the other doctor (don’t know his name) was trying to get Jack to leave and Jack was drunk, Jack told him to go upstairs and get his (Jack’s) dad and bring him down and if he (Jack) was more drunk than his dad he would leave…
Why would he say that in the future? We all know his dad is dead.

I’m pumped. Lost and Battlestar Galactica are the best shows on television and it’s hard to believe we’ve waiting 9 months to see tonight’s episode.

I loved how Charlie was just so ready for his sacrifice… the whole time he was captured he was just irritating the two women who had him tied up because he knew he’d die anyway. I loved Charlie

@ Jason – I think he was just in a really bad place and was referencing his father like he was still there.
Of course, if you go to Adam’s site and watch the last bit of Missing Pieces…could there be another explanation?

The Season 3 final episode treatment was fun with all the little side comments. Also, the re-cap show was, as always, well done. However, I was really surprised that the re-cap did not show any of the Tailies – that was a bit strange.
Yeah, other than Bernard, are there any tailies even left?
No – Bernard was the only tailie survivor at this point.
