Get ready for Lost with new viral site

We still have a few weeks until Lost starts, but at least we can all say it’s “this month.” I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get excited, what with the 8:15 recap that ABC posted, the Lost:Missing Pieces series or the awesome preview to Season 4.

Well, now if you are bored of the above stuff, they have something new for you to play with.

Just visit FlyOceanicAir.com and you’ll be treated to a video of a guy named Sam talking about losing his fiancee when Flight 815 crashed.

Once the video is done playing, you’ll notice a new URL, Find815.com. Go there and on this one, you’ll see a new video that starts with a newscast on TV and then you see Sam again.

This is basically a game and you have to uncover the clues. I tried the first part, which is telling the difference between two photos of his girlfriends and I got that pretty easily. But the rest is harder and then the clue that sends you to ABC.com leaves me literally LOST1

Give it a shot, let us know what you find out!

  1. I’m ready for the new season (all 8 episodes) to finally start but I think I’ll have to skip the games. Who has time for that when I can barely figure out what’s actually happening on the show? If anyone figures out anything cool, let me know.

  2. Woot! More LOST goodies - yay. I, too, am excited about the half-season starting in a few weeks. The trailer definitely has me sucked in!

Oh - and LOST Season 3 looks amazing on Blu-ray - it gets a boost of being output at true 1080p whereas the HD show is broadcast at 720p.

  3. Jason, I agree…I tried to do the game last night and ended up getting a headache from it. I’ll just wait until the 31st.

Ape…I’m going to really hate not getting Blu-Ray, and right now I’m almost to the point I wish they’d just win already so I can see the combo players come down in price :(

  4. It’s ok Mike - you’re getting movies that I don’t have access to except through SD DVD’s (like the Bourne movies). I am hoping that whatever format eventually wins - that the losing side will re-release their catalog for the winning format.

  5. Yeah, it’s weird how I feel all persecuted on my side cause I can’t watch Lost, but then you want to watch the Bourne series and feel my same pain.

It’s like this coming Tuesday, “Sunshine” hits DVD and Blu-Ray, and I really enjoyed it, but dang it, BLU-RAY!!!

Even if they don’t re-release them, I now have like 10 HD-DVD titles, so I’ll have to get a combo drive.

  6. *cough shouldagotBlu-Ray cough*

  7. It doesnt really matter that Bourne is on HD-DVD, it would matter which side the Queen is released on, since afterall, it was rated higher than Bourne =)

  8. The entire Bourne franchise is great - it would be a shame if it never ended up going blu…

  9. Uh, should I buy a VHS or Beta VCR? :)
What’s going to annoy everyone is it ending in 8 episodes with new mysteries and no answers.

What’s going to annoy me is that I’m going to be moving and will be without DirecTV for a while during the short season. I hope you’ll publish full recaps.

  10. No worries Frank, I plan on big time Lost recaps…

Capn…those who watch The View cannot give crap about The Queen.

  12. I tried the Find 815 game too, but ran out of patience. I give the LOST folks props for creative marketing though. They really know how to feed the obsessive fan’s need. I think I’ll just buy a “Find 815″ t-shirt instead. lol (Actually, I’d love to have a t-shirt with the Oceanic logo, just as a conversation piece - a way to meet other Losties.)

Mike - glad to hear you enjoyed “Sunshine”. I wanted to see it in the theaters but missed it, and was wondering if it was any good.

  13. I got stuck on that game when I was supposed to go to ABC.com and solve a puzzle…I had no clue where it was.

    Yeah, Sunshine was decent…nothing amazing, but a really good, 2001-ish sci-fi film…
