Rumors of the cross cameo have been rampant for quite some time now. It now seems likely that the ultimate goal is, in fact, to tie the “Iron Man” and “The Incredible Hulk” movies together and, more than likely, make an Avengers movie that would feature both characters (and likely Nick Fury who is played by Samuel L. Jackson in “The Incredible Hulk”). Jon Favreau, director of “Iron Man” has reportedly already called “dibs” on the Avengers movie.
Now, I’m no comic book expert so I don’t know all the ins and outs of the story line. I do know the basics of the Avengers as well as (Ultimate) Nick Fury’s role in the whole thing. If Edward Norton and Robert Downey, Jr. do as well in these movies as everyone expects they will, I think an Avengers movie could definitely be pretty cool. And the idea of crossing the characters over into the other movies is perfect and exactly how it should be for movies based on comic books.
“Iron Man” is set for release on May 2, 2008.
“The Incredible Hulk” is set for release on June 13, 2008.

My question is how bad is the new Hulk movie going to suck? It couldn’t suck worse than the Ang Lee one, could it?

Well, Frank, it’s not humanly possible to suck worse than the Ang Lee “Hulk” sucked so I would say that this one would have to be better than that one. I’m not a big fan of Hulk and I wasn’t crazy about the idea of them making this movie, but Edward Norton has a great track record and his movies always seem to surprise me. I’m not sure I’ll plop down $10 for it, but I’m interested in seeing what they got.
Elektra, The Shadow, The Phantom, Dick Tracy and a few more I can’t remember right off gave Hulk a run for it’s money in the comic-to-movie category but I’ll have to agree with you that Hulk probably wins the suckage race.

1. I’d guess the scene might be Ross asking Iron Man about weapons to fight Hulk
2. If there’d be an Avengers movie, who would be Thor?
I immediately thought of pro wrestlers:
Triple H and Y2J might be too short
Edge and Morrison might be too thin
The Ultimate Warrior might be too old
3. Its great that the history of the Avengers is respected – Hulk is an original Avenger! The original Big Three are Hulk, Thor and Iron Man!
Yeah, a lot of people are asking who Thor might be but it’s just too early to even guess right now. I’m guessing they would probably (maybe) even make a Thor movie before doing an Avengers movie.
They will tie together more than likely– I just watched Iron Man and if you stay after the credits, Samuel L. Jackson (as Nick Fury) is in Tony Stark (Iron Man’s) house and asks him about the Avenger Directive… a probable tie-in to the hulk.
I would say Tyler Maine would be best fit for Thor.
They are going to need someone pretty beefy for it, not sure how else they accomplish this other than a Wrestler in the role…
The new Hulk movie is going to great… Why?: Because Edward Norton plays Bruce Banner!…
