So I’m bored, it’s lunchtime and I was just thinking how flat out awesome it is that Lost is back on television and how fantastic it is to look forward each week to a new episode.
I also just want to put this out there: While I REALLY want to know what the black smoke monster is, the stinking four-toed foot statue sitting by the water is VERY perplexing and really eats at me.
What the heck is it?
I saw some talk already on the web from director Doug Liman about the chances of a sequel to Jumper, the teleporting flick that just came out today, and I had kind of guessed that would be coming. The idea of the movie totally reminded me of a superhero story, and if it’s successful, of course they’d make a sequel.
The movie is based on a book by Steven Gould and he’s written more than one on the subject. There are two sequels to the first Jumper book and also a prequel as well. So the stories are already there for the taking.
I have no idea how good Jumper is, I’m avoiding all reviews and will be seeing it tomorrow or Saturday morning, so expect a full analysis fairly quick.
So with that being said, I wanted to wish everyone a happy Lost day and for those of us looking forward to it, a happy Jumper day/weekend!
So glad Lost is back, our thurs viewing lineup is really solid with Lost, Survivor, and Eli Stone. Plus in a month or so we’ll get the Office back. Love Thursdays!
I was going to mention the current # on RT for Jumper, but I’ll keep you in suspense. Looking forward to your review.
Scott’s last blog post..Love is in the air and in the office. Do’s and don’ts on office romance.
Probably a good idea to avoid the reviews on Jumper. Rottentomatoes has a pretty dismal percentage for it. I also read that a sequel might be needed, but if the movie doesn’t make any money, they’re screwed.
I’m with you Mike on the statue vs. the smoke. While I’d like both to be explained, the statue seems more substantial and easier to explain away.
Thank you Scott
And ugh, Michael goes and ruins it
I’m just glad that now I know that Ryan Seacrest is in Jumper, eating a sandwich no less! What a spoiler, AI!
bwahahahaaha!
I have a funny feeling that they will leave the foot unexplained and never loop back to it…
@Scott – Eli Stone is a pretty good show – I’ve definitely been enjoying it.
