The Friday question this week is pretty much stolen right from Entertainment Weekly. Sometimes I have good ideas for Fridays, sometimes I have to ask Jina for help and she said EW had a fun little question today and it might work here.
Their question was basically “What TV character would you date in real life?”
There are rules though:
1. No hosts or talk show people count. They have to be CHARACTERS.
2. You cannot change that character. You have to find one that would really fit with you. Example: I’d totally date Cameron from Sarah Connor Chronicles, but only if she wasn’t like a Terminator and all. Nope, she IS a Terminator.
3. And you must explain why it would make a good match.
So with that, I’ll try to get into my thinking process in coming up with an answer.
My initial thought was Chloe on Smallville, only because she’s a writer, journalist and cute. Then I realized she’s also like 20 and that just wouldn’t work for me.
Then I went older and easily came up with Kate from Lost, only to remember she’s kind of a lying murderer and can’t be trusted. Hmm, I need my women trustworthy.
My third choice was Natalie from Sports Night (if anyone remembers one of my all time favorite shows), because come on: She’s cute, into sports and like…into sports. Then the fact that Jeremy said she slept with the entire fraternity at Beta Cappa Pi made me rethink that one too.
How about Athena (left) from Battlestar Galactica. Hot…very hot, but yeah…she’s a Cylon and all, so that might not work out. Not to mention she’s WAY out of my league.
Inara from Firefly was also beautiful, but kind of a hooker. Actually, she wasn’t “kind of” a hooker, she WAS one.
Alright, so after a ton of thinking, I narrowed it down to two:
Pam Beesly from The Office and Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. I am sure I’ve left some other good ones out, but those are my two choices.
And now I have to narrow it down…so tough, so difficult. It’s like playing desert island with Jim.
“Who do you take with you on a deserted island? Pam or Liz?”
Here we go and drumroll please…..
(no surprise to anyone I’m sure…)
LIZ LEMON!
Why? First off, glasses are sexy and she looks great in a pair them. She’s cute and totally funny, and runs a TV show.
Who wouldn’t like that?
But the best part of Liz Lemon is that she’s a homebody like I am and despite her life in the entertainment business, she doesn’t let it go to her head. She’s sort of clumsy and unsure of herself and it seems like a perfect match.
(Plus, she looks an awful lot like Tina Fey)
So what about you guys? I hope you all give it a shot and find that perfect fake someone.

Nice choice, I thought of Lois but she’s a bit too “independent” for me…but yes, I’ve seen her in a bikini…dating back to the Aquaman episode from last year. Yikes.
I have to go with Jim Halpert! I mean, come on, easy choice. What girl wouldn’t want a normal guy who would totally make her laugh and include her in silly pranks to torture Dwight!
Robin Sparkles, baby. She’s hot, doesn’t like commitment, and wouldn’t *ever* say “let’s go to the mall”.

Damn I watch too much reality TV. Heidi Klum from Project Runway? No, too bitchy. Padma from Top Chef? No, again too bitchy.
Seriously, Pam Beasley is the easy answer. Cute, smart, funny, got the girl next door quality. Sounds a lot like the current Ms Williamson, NOT at all like the previous Ms Williamson, but that’s a topic for another time.

This is a fun question.
I thought about it for a few minutes, and came up with Samantha Who. Basically because I’ve had a crush on Christina Applegate since I was 18 (I’m sure I’m not alone there), and this one of the better characters she’s played. If I was single and lived in a big city, that’s definitely the kind of girl I would hope to date. (not the amnesia part)
