Alex Billington of First Showing put together a list of the best 19 movies that you might have missed in 2007. It’s a decent list and one that deserves a look-see if you want to make sure you are up-to-date on the great films from last year.
For instance, Across the Universe was one that I barely heard about, but lately the buzz has been growing and I kind of want to check it out.
One of the movies on his list I forgot about was Interview with Steve Buscemi and Sienna Miller, which I heard was pretty good. It’s on my list now.
I love his choices of Sunshine and The Lookout, both very different, but good films in their own right.
Check out his full list of 19 films if you are looking for ideas this weekend, I think most are already out on DVD.
Sunshine was the best in that bunch. Very good movie with great soundtrack to boot…interesting film and how the characters deal with what they have in front of them…
I actually really liked Sunshine. The Lookout was good, but not as good as everyone kept saying.

Gone Baby Gone was better than both, but I did like The Lookout.
Sunshine was fun.
Gone Baby Gone would be in my top five probably.
