‘The People Vs. George Lucas’ poster and plot

From the kick ass poster department comes a new one for a documentary I’ve never heard about until today and man, it’s an intriguing sounding project.

The movie is called The People Vs. George Lucas and basically it’s going to be a documentary of fans talking about Lucas, Star Wars and anything inside and out of that hugely popular universe.

You want in the movie? Have your wife plop you down on the sofa and start filming what you have to say. Send it in to the filmmakers and if it’s good enough, you might find yourself in a full-fledge motion picture documentary.

The people behind the movie are also interviewing celebrities as well, but they promise it’s going to include everyone.

What is the movie really about? I think the biggest point of all of it will be for fans to vent their frustrations in front of a huge audience and with the chance for Lucas himself to actually listen and take heed.

There is no doubt millions of Star Wars fans feel like Lucas ruined the prequels for all of us because of the lousy writing and ridiculous characters like Jar-Jar Binks. According to their “About” page, fans also hate the Midichlorians (ugh, that was ridiculous) and the casting choices for Anakin Skywalker. Read the entire thing for the full scoop.

All of this leads me to think this will be a highly entertaining film and one I cannot wait to see. The fact that tons of people will be whining about how Lucas ruined their lives with these films is going to be priceless. It’s supposedly going to be in theaters sometime in 2009.
