The first week of American Idol 2008 live performances is now complete. On Thursday night, the first four people, two men and two women, were cut from the top 24 contestants. If you missed the performance shows you might want to check out our recaps of the shows:
After reading our recaps and hearing what we had to say about the performances, the results shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Joanne Borgella, Colton Berry, Garrett Haley and Amy Davis were voted off in American Idol’s Top 24 Results show.
We correctly called three of the four out for the poor performances. We identified Colton Berry as someone who could be in danger but we thought he had another week in him. Simon didn’t give him as much credit as we did. On the show he told him to get a job because he has no future in music.

I really like to think of it as 3 and a half because I had Colton as safe but I made it clear I had reservations and that he could certainly be one to go…
No contest, Jeff. I will destroy you at this as I have destroyed you at so many other things…I mean, I can’t think of anything now, but I’m sure there’s some stuff that I did better than you or that I might have beaten you at some time in the past. So, like that!
