Jericho returns to CBS tonight

Don’t forget the return of Jericho tonight on CBS, the show saved by peanuts.

It does irk me that somehow the fans were able to keep this one from total cancellation, yet it’s definitely not as good as Journeyman, which appears will never return.

But regardless, I did get into the post-apocalyptic world of Skeet Ulrich and Jericho, and am looking forward to the season premiere.

I haven’t heard super-awesome things about the first few episodes, so I don’t hold out much hope for it picking up where we left off.

If you want to catch up on it, here are some spoilers, the trailer and photos.

Any other Jericho fans out there that will be watching tonight?

  2. LOL, you going to say Happy Birthday in all my blog posts today? I think I have one more coming :)

  3. Holy crap - Is today Mike’s Birthday? Egg on my face!

By the way, I will not be watching Jericho this season. Peanuts or no peanuts.

Don’t worry, Mike, I will still listen to you talk about it though.

  4. Ouch Jina…ouch…

  5. I’ll be watching it…and happy b-day, Mike.

This was a good show (not Emmy caliber, but a heck of a lot better than any number of CSI/Law & Order type shows that seem to last forever) before CBS screwed around with time slots and more reality shows.

There was an article on MSN about the peanuts bringing the show back a few weeks ago, and the head exec at CBS said that while they are aware that a lot of fans watched the show on TiVo (or DVR) and online, the only thing that matters for a possible 3rd season is “live” viewers. I think the Neilson rating system is in serious need of an upgrade. Any ideas?

  6. I think the main issue why they want “live” viewers is obviously advertisements…people who watch on DVRs and TIVO skip the commercials.

Until they figure out a way to make that less of a problem…we’ll likely have to deal with crap like this.

  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!
