I’m a huge Get Smart (official site) fan from way back when I used to watch the re-runs as a child. The first teaser trailer for the big screen adaptation starring Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99 really had me wondering whether or not they would be able to capture the magic of the television series.
I must say, I’m really happy with this new trailer. I think the film looks really funny and true to the spirit of the original show. I like that they didn’t throw in all of the old catch phrases too just to try to get some attention; one or two work just fine.

I didn’t know Hiro was in it until this preview. I’m actually a lot more excited about the movie now that this preview has calmed some of my fears. I’m still a little worried they’re going to screw it up somehow, but I’m hoping they won’t.
