There really could only be one Friday question possible today and so you are getting it. I didn’t want to ignore the huge occasion before us this Sunday and throw in some question about your favorite Bill Murray film (although that’s a good one for later).
The New England Patriots have a chance to go 19-0 and be the only team to have ever done that in NFL history.
I’m going to say that I’d rather not see it happen, so I’m pulling for the New York Giants. Go Big Blue!
Still, it’s a huge game and likely to garner some of the higher ratings in awhile for the Super Bowl broadcast.
We’re having a Super Bowl party like we always do, and I told people we’d have a stack of batteries to throw at Randy Moss each time they show him, and a ceremonial burning of a hoodie with its sleeves cut off.
Will we really have all that? Probably not, but there will be brats, burgers and Kiltlifter a-plenty!
The big thing is that I told all Patriot fans to stay home, but of course I was kidding. If you want to go for that cheating team, that’s fine with me. *grin*
So I have to ask all my readers, who may or may not totally care about football…who do you think will win this weekend and what is your final score prediction?
If you get it right, you could just find a nice little blog post in tribute to your awesomeness.
For myself, I am a sucker and will predict the New York Giants winning, 31-28.
What about you? Let’s have it!

I don’t care about football anymore; haven’t watched a pro game in years. However…
a) I grew up a Giants fan
b) I hate all Boston sports teams
c) I hate all *fans* of Boston sports teams even more
d) I work near Kierland. That might sound unrelated, but the Patriots are staying at the Westin. Add that to the FBR and just imagine how messed up the traffic is in N. Scottsdale this week
In a low scoring contest in which Lawrence Tynes redeems himself from his poor showing two weeks ago, it’s going to be…
Giants: 23-20

Reality is, Patriots dont score that few points (in fact all season they havent scored that low). The Patriots made zero mistakes all season long and its why they are undefeated. However, the other fact is the Giants were one of 3 teams to just about beat the Patriots this year, and chances are they might be able to get over the hump and do it this time around. in their season meeting the gianbts made one mistake, and the pats made none, which turned out to be the difference. But I think this could be a good one, and Hope the giants pull out a win. The Cap’n has a high scoring game, 38-35 Giants.
Wow, three Giants picks…insanity!
Giants, 27-24
Go Giants…and I think I could donate a hoody for the ceremonial burning. Are there any HOA rules preventing that?
I think the G-Men can beat the Pats, but will they? Hmmm. They were in it last time. To me the key for the G-Men is to limit mistakes and they must force Brady to throw a couple of picks and maybe grab a fumble too, similar to the Chargers did.
Final score: G-Men 34, Pats 24

As Chris Berman would say….”So you’re allllllllll on the Giants, are ya?”
I am pulling for the G-Men, but think the Pats will pull off the victory - 38-24.
given two weeks for belichick to prepare the giants is a scary thought…
I really don’t care who wins, I thin it would be cool to see a 19-0 team and I think it would be cool to see an upset, so either way is good. But I think the Pats will probably win still. 35-27.

Go RA Porter - I hate Boston fans!!!
GO GIANTS! They win by 11
By 11??? Yer high Kathy!
No way the Giants win. I find it funny that everyone turns on teams that win. Good thing the Suns don’t have any championships, otherwise they’d have no fans.
Patriots will roll.
That’s just the way it goes, no need to roll eyes
Yeah, perfect field conditions, 2 weeks to prepare a game plan. Pats are more talented all around. I am not predicting an upset. Pats win, 33-17.
I’m pulling for the G-men only because I’m such an NFC pimp that there is no way I can bring myself to root for an AFC team. That being said, Pat’s will probably win in a blow-out…
Yeah, that’s partially why I am going for the Giants too, although if Indy was in it, I’d be going for them. Pretty much the only AFC team I like.
Well, I got the winner and the spread. But even my low scoring prediction was too high. Ah well.
Eat it, Patriots!
