“American Idol” will be bringing back it’s highly successful charity event show from last year. Fox announced on Monday that the second, of what we can only assume will be an annual “Idol Gives Back,” charity event is set for April 9.
Last year’s “Idol Gives Back” show raised $76 million to benefit underprivileged children.
The lineup currently includes such diverse stars as Bono, Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Peyton and Eli Manning, John Legend, Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox, Reese Witherspoon, and Snoop Dogg.
Fox said more names will be added in the coming weeks.

Hey, Idol gives back on Jina’s birthday!
This is actually a really great thing…good for Idol doing this.
I’m glad that they are doing this again. Anytime a successful show like this can dedicate a show to a worthy cause is always a positive. Good for AI for embracing something like this.
