Did you say that back when Toy Story 2 was announced? You have to take into consideration a PIXAR sequel vs. a regular DISNEY sequel. Toy Story 2 was a superior movie to Toy Story 1, and in fact, IMO Toy Story 2 is one of Pixar's best movies period. As for National Treasure 3, they're doing it strictly for money reasons. The movies are horrible, but hey, a lot of people watch them. Wanna complain about sequels? Complain about the audiences out there that provide a market for them--the market for them is actually bigger than the market for original stuff. That has been a trend for the last 20 years. Tron 2 (or Tron 3D) has been in development for years, so that's nothing new. I like the idea of a new Pirates movie, but only if they don't have any of that supernatural mumbo jumbo in it. What about a straight pirate movie? I wrote a pirate script that had some gory action in it, but there were no fighting pirate skeletons in it.
