Well, we might be missing a few episodes this season due to the Writer’s Strike, but that’s going to be more than made up for this fall.
According to the Ausiello Report, NBC has ordered a whopping THIRTY episodes of The Office for next year, which is an increase from the already giant 24 they asked for this current season. We’re not getting that many of course, but we’ll apparently get all those back later this year.
Comedy is a hard genre to keep going for a long time I think, and so I worry about a season packed with 30 episodes getting stale, but on the hand hand, it’s the frakking OFFICE, so getting that many episodes is going to be a blast.
The production of the final 6 episodes of this season begins tomorrow, March 6th and we’ll get to see the first one on April 10th.
What do you guys think about the 30 episodes? Excited? Worried?

Frank, if you had one, I missed it…I check those a few times a day and usually never miss a legit one…but if so, my apologies.
Maybe it won’t be that bad, or that many more. I know Steve Carrell doesn’t like the hour-long episodes, so maybe the 30 is all half-hour episodes. In that case, they shouldn’t have to go to the comedy well too much more than they already do.

You can never have too much of The Office. I mean, we had 9 years of Seinfeld and I think 10 of Friends so I’m ready and willing to watch a Bazillion.

30 episodes? That’s nuts, I’ve never heard of any show having that many episodes in a single year. Good thing the production value is really low–they only really have to pay the actors and cleaning crews…
