I just found your article and found it quite interesting. I watched the first 3 episodes of New Amsterdam and enjoyed them. However, they did not create as much excitement for me as the “Highlander” or “The Man From Earth” movies. Still I expect that the story is still being developed and could become quite fascinating as the series plays out.

Now, a story about a real immortal would create more excitement.

Hi Mike, I think you are on to something here. I watch the FBI dramas, and I like New Amsterdam, but I do think that sometimes the creators of these shows try to put way too much into them. For example, I talked to someone this week who said that Numb3rs was no longer their favorite because the math was just too much for them. I read a synopsis for Women's Murder Club and found out that all the women have jobs that are related to the law. It's no wonder they can get together and solve crimes..lol! I watched this week’s episode of New Amsterdam online and I thought it was pretty good. So far I like the show. They did more of the show in the past this week, doing a sort of parallel story. I thought it worked well.

Was last night’s episode of New Amsterdam the only one you’ve skipped? I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m thinking of watching it online and giving it another shot. I still like the concept of it and I’ve already dumped a bunch of cop shows off my list so I’m thinking I could watch it if they can keep my attention.

Of course, it would have to make it past this season…
