It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…oh wait, it’s just a big nerd with a computer in his head.
If you have been missing Chuck since the writer’s strike and cannot wait until new episodes return in the fall, then never fear, your Chuck-gap will be filled this June.
That is…if you like comic books. Which I do.
Starting with a release on June 11th, Wildstorm/DC Comics will put out a six-volume Chuck comic book that features an original story from the show’s executive producer Peter Johnson and head writer, Zev Borow.
According to the Wildstorm website, the first volume will be 32 pages and cost $2.99.
This should be fairly interesting to see what they can do on a comic book, if they can convey the “Chuck” humor in the art and dialog.
Well, I skipped the TV show so I can’t imagine that I’ll bother picking up the comic book.
The ONLY reason you would pick up issue one is because later it might be worth $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
This is a show that wont even translate to cult fans I’m imagining, it is simply NBC seeing comics today have a large % of $$$$’s and they think they can intro this series into that market for a piece of the pie. If the show gets a cult following and is a hit, the first issue would be something to hold onto to sell later at a Chuck or sci-fi convention.
“a Chuck convention”
hahahahahha
Don’t make me “up-chuck.”
I didn’t think much of the show originally based only on the previews but I’ve really enjoyed watching the repeats on Hulu. I’m looking forward to new shows.
