It’s been rumored to be true for awhile, but Kristin at E Online reports that a cast member whispered to her that Friday Night Lights was coming back next season.
Since we pretty much knew that already, it’s not all that surprising, but still nice to get a confirmation that it’s true.
The other bit of news that came out a week or so ago, also by Kristin, is that when Friday Night Lights does return, we’ll likely only be getting an initial order of 13 episodes, with the hopes of 9 more.
She seems pretty confident that the ratings will be better since it’s on both Direct TV AND NBC, so that there will be double-exposure enough to keep it alive.
For myself, I think it’s amazing that the show is still going…it’s like it had nine lives or something and has used up two of them to stay on the air.
Great show though and I’m interested in seeing how Direct TV will bring us the show next year.
Do you know how this Directv/NBC thing will work? Will we get it on Directv first, then NBC… or what?
I think right now it’s looking like that, but we don’t know enough information yet…
