LOLOLOL “because Paramount wants the movie to be a summer blockbuster ..” well.. its a blockbuster if its good, and for no other reason…

No, Cap’n. Paramount WANTS it to be a blockbuster. So it’s GOING to be a blockbuster. And they don’t want no lip outta you. Got it?

I think this is going to be a great movie, too bad it’s so frakking far off…

I just am having a hard time why in the world would they “re-imagine the series”!?!?! Fans dont want a reimagined series, we never asked for a reimagined series, we know the series and like the sereis as it is through all different types of TV series and movies. We want good movies, and stop giving us damn pre-quels, something this popular doesnt need to be re-imagined.. whats next, reimagined Star Wars… wth!?!?

I’m not saying it’s a good movie, but think about if 10,000 BC was placed in the summer rather than the winter. I guarantee you that it would have been a blockbuster regardless of how awful it is. They’re thinking the same thing with Star Trek (although I have much higher hopes for it than 10,000 BC).

Sorry MichaelB, I’m going to have to disagree with you on 10K BC. It’s a movie not many were interested in, starring no one anyone knew. That’s a flop in any season.

As for the new/old/re-imagined Star Trek, I’m with the Cap’n once again (it’s like we’re twins separated at birth). I’ve known these characters since I was 8. Kirk’s dead, Spock already died once. Let’s move on.

Hi5 to Commander Scotty Dub! :)

Well, I know why they did it (as I explained in the article), but I don’t think it was necessary. I think they could have come up with a storyline involving a new ship and a new crew that takes place during the years of ST:TNG that people would have gone to see. I mean, put them in a few battles (real battles) and spend $160M on the movie and it’s gonna be pretty sweet.

Tyler Perry is in this film. Let’s hope we don’t see “Madea in space.” :o )
