Yeah, I know...and I appreciate the correction. Sometimes I have a lot going on upstairs, I forget things and mistakes happen. Not to mention I usually don't do recaps about Smallville :)

It's also been a few weeks since it was on, and I just totally biffed it on on that crazy little kid.

Next week looks great!

Thanks smf, I even knew it was himself last night but it was a late night writing session and I totally had a brain fart.

But thanks for not going overboard in correcting me :)

I agree though, the whole idea of his inner goodness portrayed as a child was great, and the tossing of that goodness into the fire very spooky.

It wasn't Julian, his dead brother...it was Lex when he was a boy. Didn't you see the very first episode (season 1) with Lionel and Lex as a boy in the helicopter on their way to Smallville before the comets hit? Or the episode this season where Clark went inside Lex's mind to locate Kara and ran into the child version of Lex scared of the evil adult Lex? Or maybe the last episode would ring a bell when Lex is retelling Gina (his femmebot) of overhearing his dad's conversation regarding Veritas.

Or did you just happen to watch this one episode of Smallville? It wouldn't make any sense for Lex to "kill" his imaginary dead brother when the writers were trying to show Lex's descent into evil, meaning he has to destroy whatever else is good inside him. The writers portrayed that goodness in Lex as a little boy; nicely done.

Credits to the writers of this episode; much much better than the previous episodes...last three seasons really. Maybe because it had something to do with Clark becoming the Superman we all love and hold dear and not some wimpy, love-sick puppy. Best acting by Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling by far.

"Not only does Lex kill his father, but also his imaginary dead brother."
That's tough... in so many different ways.
