As promised last week after the bootleg extravaganza, here are the high quality versions of the second full trailers from The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
I have to say, I really love all the stuff with The Joker in this new preview. Heath Ledger looks like he did such an amazing job, he may be up for an Oscar.
I wonder if it’s ever happened that an actor was up for an Oscar after they passed away? That would be awesome he did a good enough job to deserve a nomination.
Without further ado, here are the two trailers.
The Dark Knight:
Indiana Jones:
Loved both trailers, but especially The Dark Knight. Loved the scene where The Joker is meeting with the criminals. The way Ledger delivers the line about killing Batman was perfect. I am so pumped for this flick. I won’t make the same mistakes I made with Iron Man though

Both trailers were fantastic, of course. I’m slightly worried that The Dark Knight almost showed too much, though. I’m wishing I hadn’t watched either one but I couldn’t resist.
I love the line, “The Knight is always darkest before dawn.” I’m sure that Ledger will get a nomination for this. He’ll probably get the Oscar. Hollywood has a thing for dead actors.
I loved the Indiana trailer too. That music gets me so excited! I’ll watch Indiana Jones movies until he’s 100!
At the Ironman premiere, the audience applauded the Dark Knight trailer (but not for Indy)…. these new trailers looked spectacular on the big screen…
Well, considering the last Indy movie came out 19 years ago, half the people who were watching Iron Man probably weren’t even alive at the time. I’d guess Indy might pull in an older audience who might not rush out to see it on opening night, but will give the film some solid legs for weeks and weeks (assuming it’s good).
The Indy trailers have been awful so far, but I’m not going to use them as the gauge of whether the movie is good. I’ll see it no matter how bad the trailers are (I mostly have technical problems with them, mostly editing).
The Dark Knight trailer, though, looks great and I’m really looking forward to it.
I do agree with Michael, the Indy trailers haven’t left me totally pumped like the DK ones have.
The Dark Knight Trailer rocked! I agree the Indy trailer was not near as good. However, that is in no way going to prevent me from going to check it out. should be fun.
I agree that the Indy trailers could be better, but I disagree that the Dark Knight trailers have been all that good. I think once we’ve seen the movie and we go back and watch the trailers we’ll realize that they showed us too much…as usual.
I can’t wait to see the movie! I remember seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark back in the 1980s (first time I drove by myself to a far-away theater)… what an incredible accomplishment (the movie, not my driving.
).
It will be fun sharing it with my kids….
Best wishes,
Barbara

That’s one thing that I keep hearing – that people have fond memories of going to see the first Indy movies. I think that’s going to play a big part in turnout for this film.
