The experiments on Sunday nights with Monk and Psych haven’t turned out so well for NBC. The ratings has been dismal, placing them fourth in that coveted 18-49 demographic.
Which is really only good news for those of us who don’t watch those shows or catch the new episodes on cable where they originate.
NBC is switching things up and making Sunday nights an official mini-marathon for The Office, putting four episodes back-to-back-to-back-to-back.
Variety had the news, but while they say these are obviously repeats, there is no mention about what season(s) they will come from.
With pretty much NOTHING on Sunday night these days, this is great news. Should be fun finding those favorite episodes and watching them again.
While I love The Office I actually think this is really sad news. Psych is one of the funniest shows on TV. I was really hoping people would give it a shot and see how funny it is. I guess it’s one of those shows that people don’t think they’ll like, but I absolutely promise that it is week after week consistently funny.
I tried to watch a little of Psych this past Sunday, because who doesn’t love Dule Hill. But it felt really overacted. Did I just catch a bad episode… actually more like 15 minutes of a bad episode?
Both Psych and Monk are very funny – love both shows on the USA Network. I did not even know that they were playing it on NBC. But then again, I do not watch much of network TV.

@Jina – I don’t know what episode was on or anything so I couldn’t say. Dule Hill’s character is sort of a hyperactive character so it does tend to seem like he’s overacting sometimes, but once you get into the character it works really well (think Tracy Morgan on 30 Rock, but less).
I would never steer you guys wrong. Very funny. Laugh out loud funny almost every week. Maybe you have to start at the beginning…oohhh…sounds like a project for Mike…

There’s def not much on Sunday’s. As much as I love watching the Spurs get their a$$es handed to them, and I do, we’ve only got two more of those glorious episodes left.
So bring on the Office!

Why are you running like that?
My two favorite shows on TV: Monk and Psych.
Hopefully this will help improve the ratings for The Office. While we all love the show, it is currently not even in the top 20 of most watched shows.
