"Twilight" teaser looks pretty awesome

I have no idea if Twilight will be a movie I want to see once I learn more about it. I have a feeling it will end up being one of those late night, I’m bored on Friday night, the wife is asleep and the movie is on HD PPV, so why not?

But the trailer is pretty cool and somewhat unique I think from what you usually see. Without knowing anything about the background or origins of Twilight, it certainly seemed like something I’d be interested in.

The story though, originates from a young adult vampire book series written by Stephanie Meyer. The plot of the book revolves around a young girl who moves to Forks, Washington and falls in love with a vampire.

The girl is played by Kristin Stewart, who you might remember recently from Into the Wild or Jumper. The vampire she falls in love with is none other than Robert Pattinson, who was Cedrick Digory in the Harry Potter films.

    I really don’t get the extreme fascination with vampires. What is it about them that everyone likes so much?

    But this movie will probably be pretty big. The book series is actually huge among young adults.

    Arizona connection: Stephenie went to school in Scottsdale. Chaparral High School class of 1992.

    Hopefully she has something to add to the genre.

    Omg!!! I love this book!! I will most definetly love the movie!! I have never really cared about all that vampire stuff until now!!!! I would do so much to meet the characters!!

    Twilight is an awesome book that was made into a decent movie (my daughter loved it)

    I’m not surprised that Twilight the movie will take over $70mil for the opening weekend…

    i’m very like twilight movie. Do visual effect and good actrees, but edward caracter better than pattinson

    This movie did turn out to be perfect. Many fans, and I included were worried it was going to be different from the book, but nope, it was perfect. They are also now continuing on with the series and making the next book, New Moon into a movie as well that is set to release November 2009. But commenting on what Jason said, Twilight isn’t all about a fascination with vampires, for many what first drew them into the series is the loves stories, the two main characters overcome impossible circumstances to be together. I think that is why the series is so popular, not because of a “fascination” with vampires.
