New pics from G.I. Joe having been hitting the net over the past several days. I’ve gathered them together along with some of the ones we’ve already seen and compiled a look at the cast as we know it now. Click thru to the sites that posted the pics for hi-res images.
Destro
IESB has an exclusive look at
Chris Eccleston as James McCullen Destro XXIV. Not really much to look at. It would be cooler if the would have shown him with the mask.
Storm Shadow
LatinoReview has a
high resolution pic of
Byung-hun Lee as Storm Shadow. Not nearly as cool as Snake Eyes.
Breaker
Dark Horizons has a first look at
Saïd Taghmaoui as Breaker, the team’s original communications officer who has a habit of chewing bubblegum in any situation.
General Hawk

Collider has a first look at
Dennis Quaid, as General Hawk, the leader of the team.
Heavy Duty
ComingSoon has the first photo of former
Lost star
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Heavy Duty, who serves as the G.I. Joe Team’s heavy ordnance specialist with a passion for classical guitars and Bach.
The Baroness
IGN has the only pic I’ve found of
Sienna Miller as The Baroness. The Baroness serves as the COBRA Organization’s intelligence officer and lieutenant to Cobra Commander.
Duke
MTV gives us a first look at
Channing Tatum as Duke, a First Sergeant and field commander who is second-in-command of the G.I. Joe Team after Hawk. I’m pretty sure this isn’t what Duke wore in the cartoon.
Ripcord
CHUD has the first pic of
Marlon Wayans as Ripcord. Ripcord is a Sergeant and is an Airborne and demolition specialist of the G.I. Joe Team.
Snake Eyes
Pop Critics gave you a first look at
Ray Park as Snake Eyes back in March. Snake Eyes is, of course, the coolest of all G.I. Joe characters.
Scarlett
Pop Critics also gave you a first look at
Rachel Nichols as Scarlett. This might not be the costume she wore in the cartoon, but something tells me no one is going to mind.
G.I. Joe will be coming to theaters on August 7, 2009.

Those are some pretty cool pictures. I don’t remember much about GI Joe except Duke and Snake Eyes so I won’t know if their costumes are accurate. If the movie is anything like X Men it’ll be great!
I wouldn’t count on it being like X-Men…but I guess you never know. I’m holding out hope.
I can’t wait to see how Arnold Vosloo (Darkman and Mummy films) looks as Zartan.
I thought I’m the one who think that this is more like X-Men… As I remember, the costume of GI Joe was not like this. This one looks too futuristics.
