It’s finally here. The Championship Round of Ultimate Bad Ass.
We’ve gone through a lot of interesting matchups and while I knew Jason Bourne would be here at the very end, I couldn’t predict John McClane would end up as his opponent.
Most of that is due to the fact that seeding Jack Bauer in the same bracket as Jason Bourne basically eliminated that potential matchup where it maybe should have been, but regardless, the Bourne versus McClane battle should be great.
The final poll is below. I want to thank everyone who participated in our little competition here, especially some of the newcomers that gave John McClane a 33-9 victory over The Bride.
I voted for The Bride, got some crap for it, but I stand by my choice.
And now here we go…the final voting for the Ultimate Bad Ass.

At least it comes down to two #1’s, so at least that part of the seeding was good. This is an interesting matchup, because while Bourne should easily prevail, McClane has a uncanny ability to withstand any attack and somehow come out on top.

I have to go with Bourne. They both have that die hard, never quit spirit, but McClain is more of a regular guy, where Bourne is a trained and honed killer.
Same reasons as I have…Bourne is really the baddest guy to come around in a long time.
Benn pulling for Bourne from the beginning, no need to change now. Bourne all the way!
Yeah, I pretty much thought he’d win this thing before it started.

I def understand why Bourne’s a popular choice, but I’ve got to give the slight edge to McClane. The flawed regular guy. The reluctant hero, he take beating after beating and isn’t afraid to shoot himself if it means taking out the baddies.

My friend works at the Nakatomi Plaza where they have a lot of computers and support McClane for obvious reasons.

I don’t block IP’s at all, because of that very reason MadFan, but some people are either trying to get around it…I think.
It’s probably as simple as an entire office or another place with multiple IP’s voting.
Yeah, I’m not sure the hits are supporting the number of votes…it’s starting to seem a bit odd…

You know, he’s just a normal New York City cop, who gets his feet cut, and gets beat up. But he’s an everyday guy. In Die Hard 4, he is jumping a motorcycle into a helicopter. In air. You know? He’s invincible. It just sort of lost what Die Hard was. It’s not Terminator.
