There are a couple of interesting new releases, obscure, but with good recommendations from some good sources. There is also a great Blu-Ray release, a new, special feature packed edition of three classic films, and a horror film from France that has a trailer so very Red Band, I’m not even going to post it here.

The Great Debaters
Starring Denzel Washington, this movie tells the story of the all-African-American college of Wiley in Texas during 1935 and the debate team that won a championship that year. I’ve heard it’s pretty good, might be worth a look.
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (Blu-Ray)
Great first entry into the new Chronicles of Narnia series, and now it’s out in high-definition Blu-Ray. I really loved the first one and am looking forward to Prince Caspian this weekend.
Indiana Jones: The Adventure Collection
A new collection of the first three Indiana Jones movies, with all new special features. DVD Empire has a good review of all the additions, but supposedly there is 30 additional minutes of stuff on each disc.
Frontier(s)
Okay, this is one gory movie from France, rated NC-17 which hurt its chances of being seen here in the U.S. of A. It’s in the league with Hostage and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and if you want to watch the trailer, here is the Red Band version.
Just a warning. If seeing Achilles heels get cut bothers you, I’d avoid it.

we are Denzel fans, so I imagine we will be checking out the great debaters.
Little unknown tidbit… the Great Debaters takes place in the small town next to the small town where my parents live in East Texas. So… yeah, we’ll be watching it. How can we not with connections to like that to Denzel!
Mike told me you had family there, but I forgot. I’m from another small town close to where that movie was filmed (Henderson). We played them in sports and such. Small world.
I think the story takes place in Marshall though, doesn’t it?
