I really think Magnola is a unique artist in his drawings and an ok writer. When the 1st Hellboy came out I thought it should be animated. In fact the animated movies are much better than the live action movie. I don't think Hellboy translates well to live movies. The main monster looks like an outcast from the Power Rangers, and I think I saw some of the other "monsters" from Pan's Labyrinth. I have a feeling the next Hellboy will be direct to video. I hope I am wrong, hate to hate all the time.
