I can pick three just from this past season:

I’m with you on Bionic Woman
I hoped for a lot with Amy Sherman-Palladino *and* Parker Posey both involved in The Return Of Jezebel James
I hoped for similar highs with Back to You

So much TV sucks. Please, don’t let Dollhouse suck. (I’m less hyped for Fringe, which will probably pay off when it’s better than I expect.)

    I don’t even remember Jezebel James…wow.

Looks like the Friday question itself was a “flop” thanks to site troubles, but we appear to be out of the woods!

The Michael Richards Show – if anyone could make a show work after Seinfeld I thought it would be Richards. It didn’t work.

Surface – as much as my wife and I wanted this to be a good series…it just wasn’t.

Reunion – good idea + great format + poor ratings = gets the axe without wrapping up loose ends.

BIM, man, those were great choices…I thought of Surface too, even though I did like it and watch it, I knew it sucked.

Reunion is a great one…I thought it sounded awesome, but after a few episodes, we gave up.

The Nine last year was sort of the same thing.

“Bionic Woman” was bad. I was excited about it before I watched the first episode. I don’t know why it was bad, but I just didn’t like the plot.

Cave Man: The show based on the Geico commercials cave man. They had created this interesting character, a smart/sensitive cave man. What if cave man lived today with us? How would they be different or the same as us? They created a web site where the main character lived like a yuppy, playing tennis, going to the opera, writing email, flat screen tv, and all the modern day things in his “crib”. The idea was funny and interesting.

But when the tv show came out it was dumb. The characters acted dumb and not intellegent. I didn’t like that. I never watched the show again. So sad, it could have been good. I like shows that try differnet things, so what a disappointment.

I didn’t see Surface or Reunion at all. What were they about?

Surface was about some creatures from the deep, that may have been developed by man. Was kind of cool, but really cheesy special effects.

Reunion…there were like 6 people who had been friends since college or something, three guys, three girls, and in the present time, one of them had been murdered…by one of the other five.

The show was done with flashbacks, showing their pasts and what happened to get them to the present. So it was a serialized show.

Just really didn’t work too well.
