The Friday Question comes to you courtesy of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which hit theaters yesterday.
You may or may not have read my review on the movie yet, but either way, I’m wanting to think back to the original three Indiana Jones movies and remember fondly the greatest moments.
So the Friday Question is:
What is your favorite Indiana Jones movie out of the original three, and give us a favorite quote from any of those movies.
I’ve always liked The Last Crusade the best, which is due to the Sean Connery factor. His addition as Indy’s father really made the movie fun, plus all their banter back and forth, the backstory of Indy growing up, etc.
The intro to the film when he’s played by River Phoenix, and gets the hat put on his head, and then he looks up, a lot older on a ship on a stormy sea…that will always be a fun memory for me.
My favorite quote/exchange from the movie:
Professor Henry Jones: Those people are trying to kill us!
Indiana Jones: [shouts] I know, Dad!
Professor Henry Jones: This is a new experience for me.
Indiana Jones: It happens to me all the time.
What about you guys?
I still like the first movie best, but one of my fave lines is from The Last Crusade:
“Germany has declared war on the Jones boys!”
Rob O.s last blog post..Busted Again
My favorite is the first one… when Indy is observing the Nazi’s load the Arc onto the trucks, outlines how he’s going to recapture it and tells the other where to meet him. He gets asked “How are you going to get the Arc”? Indy responds “I dont know, I’m making this up as I go along….” then entail the coolest scene where he track down the trucks on horseback and gets the Arc back!!
Great stuff guys…interesting how the first two answers are the original movie.
I like The Last Crusade the best. (Like that? Jason taught me how italicize.)
I don’t really remember the first one too well. The banter between Indiana and his father was great.
