Disney Releases Bolt Movie Trailer
I posted the teaser poster for Bolt just the other day and let you all know that this will be Disney’s first non-Pixar computer animated offering. No one seemed to care. I’m not sure I cared that much. But now we have a trailer to go along with the poster and the synopsis.
AMC’s “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men” season 2 news
Just a quick note for my fellow Breaking Bad fans out there, season 2 will begin production sometime in July, with a premiere date still up in the air.
And Mad Men, another critically acclaimed AMC original series that I’ve not seen yet, will debut its second season on July 27th. If you missed the first season like me, you can pre-order it over on Amazon.com right now, or just wait until it’s released tomorrow. Or snag it off Blockbuster like I’ll be doing.
Clash of the Green Screen Greek God Movies
It looks like Hollywood is ready to gear up for some Greek mythology movies and they have some heavyweights in the mix. As with all things in Hollywood, however, all things must go to excess. So, instead of having one Greek mythology movie or maybe two over a year or so, we have two movies that are racing to see who can come out first – which means they’ll probably come out around the same time.
New Pop Critics “Upcoming Events” calendar
I wanted to write a quick blurb about a new feature here at Pop Critics that we hope gets some use out of you guys and serves as a helpful reminder for your entertainment needs.
We’ve added a new Upcoming Events Calendar to the site, straight from a Google shared system. We’ll be adding dates of things that we think are important for you to remember and keeping it as updated as humanly possible.
New movie poster for “Saw V”
The Saw franchise has a huge following, and I in fact love them all for some sick, twisted reason. I know the more recent additions haven’t been spectacular, but I still find myself wanting to see the next one.
Well, that next one is Saw V, which arrives on October 24th, just in time for Halloween.
Amy Ryan returns this fall on “The Office”
It may seem like a long time ago that we watched the season finale of The Office, but you might remember the new HR representative played by Amy Ryan and how great an addition she was to the show.
James Bond “Quantum Of Solace” Teaser Trailer Now Online!
Sony has released the teaser trailer for the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace starring Daniel Craig. The trailer will be attached to Hancock when it is released this week so I’m sure a lot of you will be seeing it in theaters, but who wants to wait that long?
Mike’s Movie Review: “Wanted” (2008)
Jason already did a very good review about the movie Wanted, which hit theaters on Friday. We don’t usually double-up on movie reviews, but since I’ve read the graphic novel that the film was based on, I wanted to weigh in a bit with how I felt it followed the original story.
Dynamic Duo Set New Weekend Box Office Record
There was little doubt that both Wall-E and Wanted would do well this weekend. What no one knew for sure was how well either film would do. It was assumed that the two films wouldn’t hurt each other too much since Wall-E is rated G and Wanted is rated R, but no one really knew if the R rating would hurt Wanted or if the allure of Pixar with Wall-E would just be too much and would pull fans away from Wanted. Well, as it turns out, there were plenty of moviegoers to go around.
